We're Off Jaque! (JQV)

JRM - 20 Feb 2004 10:46

Jacque Vert are a favourite of mine. I've bought on each downturn and collected some nice profits in the past.

With some amazing assets and brandnames, bought for shares last year, the smart boys are now ready for action. I'd be surprised if there wasn't a takeover before the finals, people are now moving in.

Should I buy more?

JRM - 09 Mar 2004 09:42 - 6 of 67

Steady today!

JRM - 19 Mar 2004 15:57 - 7 of 67

They're warming up again!

JRM - 24 Mar 2004 16:18 - 8 of 67

Wait 'til this beauty starts to rise!

JRM - 31 Mar 2004 15:59 - 9 of 67

Getting ready for an uplift?

JRM - 01 Apr 2004 12:41 - 10 of 67

Any thoughts, Actif and Alexon were both positive

Lord Gnome - 10 Apr 2004 16:00 - 11 of 67

Greetings JRM.
Its looks as though its a lonely life posting on this thread. You seem to be talking to yourself! Fear not for the Lord (Gnome) is with you. I see JQV as a potential three-bagger on a twelve month view. Hope we'll see a positive trading statement at the end of the month and a good run up to the results. Keep the faith - we just need a few more partners.

Thank you!
I'm usually alone!

JRM - 21 Apr 2004 15:48 - 13 of 67

Why are they panicing today. This is the perfect takeover candidate. Good brand, big institutional share holder, good assets (Remember Baird) Low market value etc. Should I buy more?

blanny19 - 21 Apr 2004 21:16 - 14 of 67

Just curious about the departure of Bill Walker - was this expected as everyone seems to still be upbeat about JQV? Had he done all he was hired to or was this a big surprise?

Cheers, Blanny19

JRM - 23 Apr 2004 09:47 - 15 of 67

The speed was a bit unexpected but I think the ideals he imposed will hold the company in good sted.

Todays trade is mixed

JRM - 26 Apr 2004 14:45 - 16 of 67

Please talk to me!

JRM - 27 Apr 2004 15:13 - 17 of 67

The spread has spread slightly.
Is this the bottom?

Lord Gnome - 27 Apr 2004 22:19 - 18 of 67

Greetings JRM, just checked in to see if you were still alive. Are we alone? Do you think anyone else is eavesdropping?
Is this the bottom indeed - or is it the end? I've given up with this share. Still its the end of the trading year on Friday let's hope for better things to come in 2004/05. Still a long way to go before we get results in July. I don't suppose that there is any chance of a trading update is there?
I continue to hold only because I just couldn't bare to sell out at this level.

We need more smart ladies!

JRM - 30 Apr 2004 09:52 - 20 of 67

Thoughts please. I'm all alone again!

Lord Gnome - 30 Apr 2004 15:44 - 21 of 67

Just popped in to say hello JRM. No news, this is without a doubt the most unoved share on the market. Most of us are here because we were daft enough to buy in after the ramp by Mark Watson-Mitchell - I hope the smug git's bank have called in his overdraft!
Still, today is the last day of fiscal 04 for JQV. Let's hope that May starts a new and more positive chapter in the JQV story. From tomorrow morning we could be sitting on a share with a forecast EPs of 4.87 and a forward P/E of just 3.18! (Figures taken from Barclays Stockbrokers concensus of brokers forecasts). This share will have to move soon if that forecast holds good.
I might give the company a call and ask if they have any plans to issiue a trading update.
Keep the faith - this could still turn out for the best.

Lord Gnome - 30 Apr 2004 15:48 - 22 of 67

By the way - forecast EPS for this year is 1.57p for an EPS of 10. I won't buy any more until results - I want to see if the current forecast is anywhere near correct and I'll read what the directors have to say. If it is accurate and the forward statement sounds positive then let's make sure that we top up before the crowds arrive!

JRM - 05 May 2004 11:03 - 23 of 67

Come on chaps, keep the faith!

JRM - 06 May 2004 11:47 - 24 of 67

Will this morning about Belinda from Debenhams going to the competition spark any interest?

JRM - 07 May 2004 10:11 - 25 of 67

Some blue today. Perhaps we're rising!
