Thanks for the warning. All dynamic sites need to evolve and grow if they are to retain their vibrancy and stay ahead of, keep up with or overtake other market players. And every change, however small, introduces a risk of downtime or site failure.
The few sites that can manage this professionally are those that set the expectation - they warn their users of potential problems and keep the userbase informed, your post above is a good example of such communication. The failures just cross their fingers, hope for the best and go for it.
Thanks again for keeping us users informed.

I agree with Gausie. I enjoy MoneyAM, hopefully your changes may enable a smoother and quicker login. Today I have found it very slow to login for some reason!
Thanks
Highride.

I'm connected via modem, so I just visited periodically during the day. The worst times to log in yesterday were about 10.15am roughly and I think 6.0pm. Though the times between weren't great either. However this morning, no problem at all. Smooth and fast.
Keep up the good work guys.

PS. Ian(MoneyAM) Thanks for removing one particular nutter from the TAD board. He was extremely abnoxious and made Thread involvment unpleasant due to his continual personal abuse. Thanks again.

Don't know if this info is of use, but nothing's really
changed for me.
Pre or post sign-in mods the following is still the same.
When ever I try to use the 'log in' tab, it takes me through
the normal procedure and screens. But when it comes back to
the main page, I'm not in fact logged in.
If I click on the 'Investors' Room' tag, it takes me through
the normal procedure and screens and does indeed log me in
and opens up on the threads page.
This will keep me logged in, even if I go to another site, for
the whole session that I am connected to the internet.
If I go offline and shut down the computer, I have to log in
again.
Don't know if this means anything?
Anyway, it's not a problem for me and saves me having to mess
about with the session cookie settings which would affect
all sites.
Melnibone.

Melnibone,
The fact that you are being shown as not logged in after you have logged in, could be down to a cookie setting in your PC. You need to make sure you have session cookies enabled.
If you go offline or shut down your pc, next time you come to the site, you will have to login again - this is correct and how the system works.

Thanks for the info, Ian.
I'll keep an eye on things and report back if I get
any problems.
