Well if this rise continues Tuesday I may have to add a few more

Happy, have also held these for quite a while and had more or less given up hope of them ever doing anything. Your posts have rekindled my interest so I've been looking at the chart. There is pretty good support at 6p, so not too much downside and a smallish rise next week to 7p will see the 50MA intersect a rising SP, not much more required in the following weeks to achieve the 50MA passing above the 200MA and we are off. I shall begin to pay more attention!!

PTH

if volume or price is up tomorrow then we know the news is going to be good. Both Thurs and Fri saw a marked increase in volume and a rise in the SP. News either leaked or speculative players came in.

bloody hell that was quick!!!

Mr. Hornby,

Thank you for your recent email. Julie Green has asked me to respond.

Firstly, I would like to say I was somewhat surprised to see you were unable to determine the date of the AGM. As a shareholder you should have received the Report and Accounts for the year ended 30th April 2004, circulated to shareholders at the end of July. The Notice of the AGM, setting out the resolutions to be considered at the AGM was included within this document. If you hold your Mediwatch shares via a nominee account then it is possible that the Report and Accounts have been sent to the nominee holder who should have forwarded them to you. If this has not happened then in order to receive future circulation of documents perhaps you need to discuss this with your nominee. However, please let me know if you require a copy of the 2004 Report and Accounts. For the record all of the resolutions were passed.

With regard to other public announcements, as you are aware, as a listed company there are clear regulations regarding publishing price sensitive information.

The anticipated arrangements with a US company could be very important to the Company and the outcome is likely to effect the share price. You may be aware of what has been stated in previous announcements and you may be familiar with a number of unofficial, speculative comments in the press, bulletin boards etc. Unfortunately, we cannot be more forthcoming at this stage. Suffice to say, the discussions are ongoing.

I do not wish to appear unhelpful but, for obvious reasons there is nothing more can be said until the conclusion of the discussions. I would suggest you keep an eye and an ear close to the Company News services!

Kind regards,

Kevin J. Middis
Finance Director

Strange e-mail - it still doesn't even mention when the AGM was after all that!

Let's hope that they manage to thrash out an excellent deal with the Yanks after all this time.....still Mediwaiting.

banjomick - 02 Sep 2004 13:08 - 14 of 274

now looking good

overgrowth - 02 Sep 2004 19:34 - 15 of 274

Wow - up 15% today alone, not forgetting the 100% when the US deal's announced :-)

Looking good indeed.

Just noticed the reason for today's rise - a nice distribution deal for the UK to keep us sweet until the "BIG ONE":

Mediwatch PLC
02 September 2004

SONOSITE AND MEDIWATCH SIGN DISTRIBUTION AND DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENTS FOR UROLOGY
MARKET

Mediwatch to Distribute SonoSite Products to UK Urology Market

SonoSite Technology to be Incorporated into Mediwatch's Prostate Assessment
Product

LONDON, September 2, 2004 - SonoSite Inc. (Nasdaq: SONO), the worldwide leader
in high performance, hand-carried ultrasound, announced today that SonoSite,
Ltd., the Company's United Kingdom (UK) subsidiary, has entered into two
distribution and supply agreements with Mediwatch Plc., (LSE:MDW.L) a leading
developer, manufacturer and distributor of advanced urological primary care
products for the screening, diagnosis and assessment of urological disease and
disorders.

Under the terms of the first agreement, Mediwatch will become an authorised
distributor of SonoSite's hand-carried ultrasound systems for the UK urology
market. Pursuant to the second agreement, SonoSite will supply Mediwatch with
its TITAN(TM) ultrasound technology to be incorporated into Mediwatch's proprietary
'One Stop' Prostate Assessment System, which is currently under development and
Mediwatch intends to market worldwide when completed. Mediwatch's 'One Stop'
Prostate Assessment System is designed to provide the physician with a complete
system for the diagnosis and assessment of prostate health in the clinic and
will include imaging, urinalysis and blood testing capabilities.

'Teaming up with Mediwatch enables SonoSite to rapidly and cost-effectively
expand our presence in the highly demanding, specialized UK urology market,'
said Graham Cox, SonoSite Vice President, European Sales. 'We believe that our
high performance ultrasound technology can play a significant role in aiding
physicians with the early detection and management of prostate tumours and other
urological conditions. Additionally, the incorporation of SonoSite's technology
into Mediwatch's new 'One Stop' Prostate Assessment System, provides the
opportunity for us to establish a significant position in the worldwide urology
market.'

'SonoSite has led the ultrasound imaging market in providing clinicians with
high quality, affordable ultrasound that is designed to be easily and
efficiently used in the physician's office, hospital or carried to the
point-of-care,' said Philip Stimpson, CEO of Mediwatch Plc. 'By integrating
their technology with our 'One Stop' clinical system, we can provide physicians
with a total solution for assessment of prostate health.'

It looks as though MDW has found a relatively stable bottom again, though I reckon most folks who bought in for the big news must have been stopped out by now.

Looks like a good time to scoop up another chunk, which I may well do next week. As each day goes on we get closer and closer to that "massive" US distribution deal - who knows, it could be announced next week.

hornster - 03 Oct 2004 20:08 - 17 of 274

hope you are right overgrowth.....might start pestering mr stimpson for some news this week1!!!

got a feeling when/if this US deal is announced it will rocket to some extent....however more importantly these distribution deals bring in some good sales,.

overgrowth - 18 Oct 2004 20:02 - 18 of 274

Large markup by the MMs today - up 13% at close.

Is there something finally brewing ?

Jules - 20 Oct 2004 12:37 - 19 of 274

overgrowth...distribution deals!!!. Let's hope it is just the beginning:-))
Will have to retrieve the shares from the dog drawer!!

overgrowth - 20 Oct 2004 19:53 - 20 of 274

Great news eh Jules ?

China and Hong Kong no less. China could well end up being bigger than a distribution deal in the US.

What a crap day to announce the news though - the price rise has been falsely deflated. I reckon there's plenty more upside to come when folks calculate the future projections for these deals - so still worth buying in tomorrow imho (for you guys waiting on the sidelines).

banjomick - 20 Oct 2004 23:45 - 21 of 274

A bit of coverage over the next few days in the papers.... hopefully, and a few more +ive statements from mdw then who knows?Been a long wait but things are starting to look good-imo.Still a long way to go me thinks in mdw achieving what they set out for.....but getting to the first rung is very good!

overgrowth - 21 Oct 2004 00:01 - 22 of 274

banjomick - Still a long way to go before we see the price at 1+

Though, now MDW are coming up with the goods big style, 1 doesn't seem all that far away :-)

banjomick - 21 Oct 2004 00:10 - 23 of 274

lol OG a ,but then again.....Think it may go up a few more pence this week on todays news alone but will require further news on the actual deal to double. If they get the USA deal, which was on the cards earlier on this year, then obviously 1 and above would be,can i use my fav.,word-lol,verisimilitude!!!!

overgrowth - 21 Oct 2004 20:48 - 24 of 274

Blimey banjomick, I had to resort to the dictionary on that one - quite appropriate though.

A few sellers today who probably were happy to double their money after getting in at the 3p level much earlier.

There should be plenty more buying next when the news sinks in. MDW is now looking interesting enough to be a future "Play of the Week" in Shares mag.

If MDW are already shipping products to China and Hong Kong, they must be antcipating selling a good few products very soon - the next results should be excellent and future growth potential is now phenomenal.

banjomick - 21 Oct 2004 23:33 - 25 of 274

Can understand the sellers today but even in the short/medium term there should be room for a substantial rise especially if they do it right and give frequent updates (+ve ones)to let shareholders know whats happening(unlike GON-lol).Lets hope for a bit of press coverage over w/end!No more big words,it is the only one I know-lol
