Point is Chad is that they could have given themselves a few mill at 0.5p and all be nicely in paper profit without any outlay. A case of the board showing principle and example to its workforce and shareholder base. Maybe all the guy could afford.

The company seems to be a good egg all round. Interesting article in last weeks Shares magazine that talked about company's that are good at updating the market and those that aren't, and MOI was the model company in that respect.

Have read some really good stuff about this one over the last few months. Apparently one of the bosses took a large stake on January 11th. It seems to have gone nowhere over the last few months. Any views?

Should see some movement in the run up to the year end on 31 March, which should be positive after the recent restructuring of the company. Think this is one of those one's thats been unfairly neglected by the market taking into account the recent director dealing, contract wins etc, and therefore undervalued. Some positive sustained newsflow could generate some sizy movement IMHO.
Cheers.

I share your views. Don't understand with all the Saudi's are doing, and some 20 new exploration companies floating on AIM why this share hasn't risen. It fell with the hostage taking in Iraq last year and didn't come back after. The Director knows the middle east very well (well connected since 1966 I think), and they are targetting some 20m of orders this year (bit ambitious given only 7m last year...), however with the Nexen petroleum deal this 20m does look possible, and with the Saudi's positively inviting foreign firms in, the company will have to do badly not to pick up some of these deals. They have a great product set. I bought in at 1.43 and am more than happy to hang on having bought more last week. Do your own research though. I've noticed a few above average volume days recently so maybe new interest...??? ...talking of exploration comapnies/miners Regency Mines launched today on Aim and are well up on the day (RGM).
Best wishes.

Some decent volume today. Also nice article in Shares mag from Fund Manager Simon Like, who says he's bought the shares for his fund in the past 6 months and believes that 'the shares have a lot further to go'.

More than twice average volume. No. of trades usually ranges about 5-8 but today 21! Something's happening. What's harder to understand is the sells. In my view, either people are losing patience, OR the large hedge fund who bought all the additional shares issued late last year is decreasing their exposure somewhat. Good bit of news from Simon. One thought: if we assume conservatively the Director
Mr Woods, is only half right i.e. he hits a profit target of 10m not the 20m he mentioned and (being really pessimistic note!) there are no more deals this year, then wouldn't this give the shares a value of 2-3p or so...?? I'm more optimistic than this though - I share the view these will rocket - just a matter of when in my view. Someone's got to be servicing all the old oil wells, not to mention the new ones being built for all the exploration companies. Also, having bought Ansell Jones last year the company is not just dependant on Marine drilling,
Anyone out there up on how other companies in the same area are doing? Only one I know is Abbott?

Another relatively busy buying start for MOI with 4 trades by about 8.15.
Presumably the mining boom is supporting this one & thanks for the information chad & roots...
March results anticpation probably a lift for this one too.
Any other news would be interesting?

Guys - I'm not quite sure that I'm understanding this correctly. This BB keeps talking about the sp rising (i.e. "in the blue") and general movement all-round but as far as I can make out it has not moved out of the 0.73-0.75p range for weeks. What am I missing?

Point taken queen1 - agreed limited sp movement but apparent higher buying activity over last few weeks. More buys than sells recemtly & apparent trend of larger buys early in day. To be fair yesterday ended up with more sells overall.
Got a hunch on this one, but struggling for information which makes me wary of jumping in. As you put it, it seems a good egg...but I don't want it on my face!

MOI is in the oil services sector, not mining. It has recently completed a restructuring of the company. Scan the company's press releases and the BB's for more info. A dealers tip for 2005.

Yes - looks extremely good. Excellent technical chart on ADVFN's bulletion board & some very bullish comments to0 which confirm the action . Added 180k today (very reluctant sell of some Stanelco!!!). For info, see Reuter's recent MOI reports.

...above average volume again and it's only 1.45pm. Where are the bears today?
