Israeli Gaza conflict?????? (GAZA)

Fred1new - 06 Jan 2009 19:21

Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?

If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?

Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

There you are, plenty of states to choose from.

Haystack - 14 Nov 2012 18:30 - 6003 of 6906

Just the country that belongs to them - Palestine. Therockets that were fired hurt no one. Israel has already killed 9 including 2 girls under 5 and wouned 20. The figures are expected to rise. Israel will never stop the violence wile they continue to grab land and opress the Palestinians. All they have to look forward to is more violence,

Ruthbaby - 14 Nov 2012 18:35 - 6004 of 6906

The rockets that were fired hurt no one.
So Israel knows how to hit...Hamas don't.....another reason why they should give it up. Hamas have killed more of their own then Israel ever will...
Violence has always been away of life for Jews before Israel came back on the map.....

Haystack - 14 Nov 2012 18:41 - 6005 of 6906

The Palestinians are just resisting an occupier in a similar manner to the French resistance during the last war. The enemy is also very similar.

cynic - 14 Nov 2012 18:43 - 6006 of 6906

don't pander to him ruth; i promise you he's a waste of breath and space without an atom of logic let alone objectivity to be found between his ears

Haystack - 14 Nov 2012 18:49 - 6007 of 6906

It is not a question of objectivity. The land belongs to Palestinians. There is no evidence that the land ever belonged to anyone else no matter how far back you go. This is not a conflict that Israel can ever win by violence. They have to give something substantial to change the situation. I know Palestinians and they accept their people giving their lives for generations to come to regain their land. You cannot fight that level of commitment.

Ruthbaby - 14 Nov 2012 18:54 - 6008 of 6906

A typical statement in defense of terrorists...
That didn't take long...
Not well informed so...
Palestine (as you keep saying)originally included the British Mandate which included Jordan...
So today 77% of Palestine is in the hands of Palestinians... but that was never going to be enough now was it?

cynic - 14 Nov 2012 18:57 - 6009 of 6906

you'll be there for ever ruth, and when you walk away out of sheer boredom of talking to the profoundly deaf, he'll think he'll delude himself that he's won his point

Ruthbaby - 14 Nov 2012 19:04 - 6010 of 6906

Point taken cynic.
Thank you.....

fahel - 14 Nov 2012 19:05 - 6011 of 6906

Qatar, Egypt and other Arab countries calling for Israel to be punished.

Haystack - 14 Nov 2012 19:26 - 6013 of 6906

A stinging critique of Israel's government from Uri Avnery, founder of Israeli peace group Gush Shalom: "Netanyahu and Barak have decided to deliberately violate a cease-fire which had just been stabilised. At the price of great and ongoing suffering on both sides of the border, the government's aim has been accomplished: social issues will be removed from the public agenda and the election campaign."

TANKER - 15 Nov 2012 08:40 - 6014 of 6906

congratulations to israel for taking positive action on the terrorists hamas .
the world should now stand up and back the israel gov .

TANKER - 15 Nov 2012 09:07 - 6015 of 6906

hamas hide behind children they are cowards yellow bellys spineless sub humans

ahoj - 15 Nov 2012 09:35 - 6016 of 6906

I think the external forces are more interested in war and conflict than the people of the two countries. Most of them love each other and beg for a peaceful life side by side.

The leaders and media are the problem not the innocent people.

hlyeo98 - 15 Nov 2012 09:36 - 6017 of 6906

It's time to flatten out Gaza.

cynic - 15 Nov 2012 09:36 - 6018 of 6906

hydra being slain by hercules myth ...... very briefly and what would be a nice analogy .....

the hydra had many heads, and if one was struck off, two replaced it
however, by promptly cauterising the stumps as each head was struck off, hercules eventually managed to strike off all heads - and thus the hydra was finally slain

TANKER - 15 Nov 2012 09:46 - 6019 of 6906

ahoj . so why did they vote for terrorists .which they did .

TANKER - 15 Nov 2012 09:47 - 6020 of 6906

HAMAS ARE TERRORISTS FACT NOT FICTION.

ahoj - 15 Nov 2012 09:51 - 6021 of 6906

I don't know why they voted for Hamas. They might have had no other choice.

Probably no one is stupid enough to accept the difficult task of running a bankrupt community. Maybe they are good beggar and can receive good financial support from those who are interested in war.

Look at Afghanistan. Afghans are getting more moderate and open minded. I think that's the result of the right strategy by the US - helping the country to develop rather than just focusing on fighting against Taliban etc. The same can happen in Palestine.

I think US now understands that Tailbone or Al-Qaida are not such organized parties, they are ideologies which are followed by some people and get more followers when the West act as bad as what those organizations portrait them. The people don't understand other cultures, democracy in western style, etc, they just judge based on their experience and what their community portrait things that happen to them, rather than the facts as we see or interpret in the west.

I believe internet access is the best method of education and is the best gift to any community in the world as it simplify direct communication and helps understanding each other and resolving differences.
