<>Desire Petroleum plc (Desire) is a UK company listed on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) dedicated to exploring for oil and gas in the North Falkland Basin.

Desire has recently completed a 6 well exploration programme. The Liz well encountered dry gas and gas condensate at 2 separate levels while other wells recorded shows.
Together with the Rockhopper Exploration Sea Lion oil discovery in the licence to the north, these wells have provided significant encouragement for the potential of the North Falkland Basin. The oil at Sea Lion is of particular interest as this has demonstrated that oil is trapped in potentially significant quantities in a fan sandstone on the east flank of the basin. It is believed that over 50% of this east flank play fairway is on Desire operated acreage.

Desire has now completed new 3D seismic acquisition which provides coverage over the east flank play, Ann, Pam and Helen prospects. The results from fast-track processing of priority areas are provided in the 2011 CPR. A farm-out to Rockhopper has been announced. The revised equities are shown on the licence map (subject to regulatory approval and completion of the farm-in well).

marky, the link below is the DESIRE COMPANY WEB SITE

http://www.desireplc.co.uk/technical_volumetrics.php

THEY CLEARLY PUT DAWN UNDER GAS PROSPECT

I mean, can you not appreciate that ? Are you blind to it ? Do you think someone from Desire put that onto their website for fun ?

Proselenes - 31 Dec 2010 09:02 - 6019 of 6492

marky, yes 4+6 = 10.

9+1 = 10

That latest update confirms that 7 have been drilled (with the 7th ongoing), that RKH have committed to two firm in Q1, so that equals 9 and there is one remaining option UNDER THE CURRENT CONTRACT.

RKH will likely do a new contract, under RKH control, when this present one under DES control ends.

I suggest you clam down and de-stress, you are seeing demons where there are angels.....

Time have changed and so have the game... and some people who thought this was going to 20 were totally twits and clutching at straws now.

Pro we went down this route yesterday and i am certainly not going down it again we shall just have to beg to differ.

Any logical posters will know where you are coming from.

RKH will likely do a new contract, under RKH control, when this present one under DES control ends.

Glad you have seen the light after reading old news and a new contract will be extended.in stead of making thing up wait till you have the RNS and read what is in it first and when it says Arcadia will not be drilling I will believe then.

Nice to see captain twit write more than 5 words....bless him

Proselenes - 31 Dec 2010 09:26 - 6022 of 6492

Has anyone actually heard anything of Arcadia of late ? They are oil traders and it seems the Nigerians owe them, and others, lots of money.

However the Arcadia website is down, so no news there.

Acadia are owned by Nigerians......heeeeee

World's leading oil tanker tycoon through control of Frontline Ltd. Made early fortune moving crude through the Persian Gulf during Iran-Iraq war. Frontline shares down 60% from 2008 highs on lower oil demand. Unfazed, Fredriksen's Arcadia Petroleum moving into oil exploration with deal to drill in the Falkland Islands. Upped stake in German shipper Tui and agitated for its breakup. Also has interest in world's biggest fish farmer, Marine Harvest. Born in Norway but renounced citizenship in favor of tax-friendly Cyprus. Runs empire from grand home in London's Chelsea district. Preparing his legacy: installed 24-year-old daughter Kathrine on Frontline board of directors.

Captain twit who said 20? Garbled on iii if you follow him you are a twit.

I didn't realise having the last laugh on DES or any other company was such an important element of trading / investing. I always thought it was about at the very least not losing money and preferably making reasonable profits. Silly me.

hlyeo98 - 31 Dec 2010 10:35 - 6027 of 6492

Well, if DES moves back to 65-70p or more, I will short it again.

cynic - 31 Dec 2010 11:08 - 6028 of 6492

peter - you were always an ass (like me!)

ptholden - 31 Dec 2010 11:23 - 6029 of 6492

Richard - up yours & a happy new year

cynic - 31 Dec 2010 11:40 - 6030 of 6492

back on track, there's clearly a lot of two-way traffic which, judging from the non-movement of sp, is evenly balanced

markymar - 31 Dec 2010 11:52 - 6031 of 6492

I guess we will get news in the next 30 minutes or its going to be at the start of 2011,I have still a small amount riding on this but have money sitting at the side here ready to jump either way.

Its been a great share to trade in and out of during the year.

cynic - 31 Dec 2010 11:58 - 6032 of 6492

forgive me for laughing marky, but on your own admission, this stock has not exactly been a star for you ..... btw, XEL is suddenly 387 mid - MM games yet again no doubt

markymar - 31 Dec 2010 12:09 - 6033 of 6492

Had a lot of hope in it Cynic and they have just been unlucky on the drilling front if Liz had come in it would have been a totally different game, its early days in frontier exploration. There will always be winners and looses.

Been lucky in holding RKH and after the nod off you XEL so its been a profitable year so I cant moan.

cynic - 31 Dec 2010 12:32 - 6034 of 6492

can't moan? .... you're not even trying!

hlyeo98 - 31 Dec 2010 12:43 - 6035 of 6492

Money on the side ready to jump either way, so you are shorting as well, marky.

TheFrenchConnection - 31 Dec 2010 14:18 - 6036 of 6492

while not yet dead ( l have been shorting this dross since 116p as per last posting) its on a life support machine.............The real irony would lie in the fact if the Argentiniians struck oil in their own deep sea drilling prog.

markymar - 31 Dec 2010 15:17 - 6037 of 6492

Captain Hlyeo as it has a low chance of Success I have been slowly off loading to an amount of shares I am happy to gamble with, I have money sitting in my account ready to buy in with any success or failure in Dawn hitting oil.

The shares are sitting at 47p and i have no doubts if Dawn is a dry hole the shares will plummet to a low of 15p to 20p maybe in the first 5 to 10 minutes of trading if so I want to pick a sack full of them up.

If Dawn is dry then Desire wont drill for quiet a while and hopeful with the new 3 D seismic been done and fast tracked will lead them with a very high chance on their next drill, which we will see the share price 60p+ if I can treble or quadruple my money in side 6+ months even a years time I will be happy. At least that is my strategy for now.
