Let's hope the two large T trades were also EVO offers to help them clear their stock then.
Whilst I would find it hard to believe that all 9.3m of new shares had been placed with EVO, who knows they may have taken a large slice on condition they were given preferential position to sell them into the wider market ahead of other MMs - anyone know if deals like this happen - after all someone's got to do it - some of the placees were bound to be brokers/MMs not all long-term holders. Maybe EVO was the only broker/MM to be placed with new shares, the others all going to longer term homes - hence EVO's out on the offer till its line is cleared, making a respectable 6-7% turn on the 21.15p placing price.
Is there any way of finding out how much stock was placed with which parties in instances like this?
As I've said on another thread this evening, this may all be bollocks, but at least it's the dog's bollocks!

IMO If you keep quoting ii, your stuff mixed in, does not get read but skipped over.
I do any way, we are fed up disusing the prat on here, we have read his stuff, degust his stuff argued with him, ask him questions, talked about him, analyzed him, is he being paid is he not being paid?
I am only going to say this once I am absolutely pissed off with his absolute garbage and I couldnt care a fcuk what he has got to say or scoring points against him, he keeps coming back because you converse with him thats what he wants if you want to do that fine but keep it to your self.

SD Hi,
Why would KBC place shares with EVO, 'the competition', when they could quite easily have sold them into the open market themselves, if they had any left, after all they are MM's and brokers too, and could have easily afforded to buy them ?
From KBC website ....

Hi All,
Take a real good look at the deals on these two pages, and then try and convince yourself that KBC Peel Hunt could not place all 44m Stanelco shares and raise only 9m ....

Interesting stuff re the placing. Clearly, KBC Peel Hunt and Evolution -play multiple roles. It strikes me however that the roles need to be clear in each particular case. Thus KBC carry out the placing for SEO but I suspect that they do not take stock themselves; they may well be an MM for SEO - perhaps this can be clarified. Evolution could well have taken a slice of stock: they then offer that to their clients making a turn and/or sell it on as MMs. Liked pth's perspicacious explanation of the process in the market today: perhaps one begins to see the argument for Level 2. sd wouldn't understand these things although I suspect he is a fan of perspicacious dog bowls.
So where from here. Pretty clear that the next move is up as there is plenty of buying around which today easily outweighed selling. My own view is that KBC Peel Hunt will have placed most of the stock with longer term holders. This would be in SEO's interest and their own. Nor will they have had any real problem in doing so as is proved by PM's quotations of their recent track record with much less saleable clients. We may have cleared th eoverhang already or believe we will do so in the next day or so enabling the sp to move forward pending the next RNS.

In todays shares mag. Should send the price up.
STANELCO
(SEO) 23p
The shares fell back
from a recent peak of
29p following the purchase of the
Biotec Group for $25 million on
6 June and the well-supported
9 million share placing at 21p.
Biotec is a world leader in starch
technology, making high-grade
film for packaging which will be
cheaper than using oil-based film
if the oil price rises another 10%.
Stanelco aims to become a
leader in alternative technology
and is cementing its Greenseal
packaging technology as it
already uses Biotech starch
products.
After the third UK trial with
ASDA suppliers, the Greenseal
technology will be rolled out to
parent Wal-Mart suppliers in the
USA with several meetings and
trials already booked.
Cautious investors could lock in
some profits as the shares have
risen 500% since being tipped on
19 August 2004 at 4.5p.
