I think the Dow will close tonight somewhere close to the its support of 9625. Maybe opening around 9720/30. So I'll probably be looking to short. But I shall follow the trend.

Diego: sound advice. I have got three shorts from yesterday after market close opening at 9694 9672 9634 all at 2/pt. I think same as u that it is going to go down hill. Looking at the daily candle chart yesterday had three blacks( i small, 2 big ) so i wonder if u can call it a crow pattern which is bearish.

About half an hour for the Yankee auction to begin.
Watch the auctioneer carefully as they might be taking the bids from the aisle and the chandelier!!!!!
Also in my opinion i hope it goes a lot more DOWn than Monica lewinsky ever did!!!!!

zarif ill stay on here ive really got no feeling feel we do need a break of 620/750 to give us some real movement but my hunch is lower first.

Indexes trade higher off lower trend lines.
10:00 AM EST - The indexes have opened up and are trading higher off the lower trend lines seen in the 60 minute and Daily charts on the NASDAQ and OEX, and the lower boundary of the expanding range on the Dow. We expect to see a continued move higher, but will post on any signs of a reversal. The following are the lower trend line levels:


Dow - 9,630


NAS - 1,890


OEX - 512


NDX - 1,380


SPX - 1,035

many thanks your input DATAi -invaluable advice. One of my shorts was in credit b4 -but feel can do better so am waiting -greed factor as i want it to test the 9625 area today if possible.

It's a sell on Munich-re and Allianz, Munich sell at 102.5 Dec and Allianz at 93

10:55 AM EST - The indexes have are trading lower off the highs seen in the 5 and 15 minute charts. We could see a range formed here at the lows above the lower trend lines. Watch for short term move lower to the major lower trend line levels, listed below.

trins at 1.11 so think it will fall the lowest trin today so far has been about 0.7 when it touched (kissed - ishould say)9750 and then got smacked down.

9725 looks like it's holding. Two attmepts failed. The bulls might give up at this stage and join the bears. Let's see.
