aldwickk, shares have done this before. they mentioned talks with walmart before seo did and it looks like they have pre-empted seo again. in a business wire release seo did that they were getting ready to pitch to walmart as well as other american supermarkets. that's the only news so far on that score. going off the last rns, (i think), seo pretty much said nothing would happen until the third trial was completed.

No 'rollout' in USA until the 3rd trial is complete, is what the last RNS said, so that does not mean 'no talks' or 'no trials', Stanelco were already in 'talks' with the 6 biggest USA retailers, according to the business wire release, and so maybe Shares Mag are right, and 'commercial trials' similar to the recent/current ASDA ones will be a requirement of USA retailers other than Wal-Mart, because ASDA have already done the commercial trials for Wal-Mart, but as part of 'due diligence', the other retailers must see the results of their own commercial trials.

I was asked on another BB about the 27,000 machines I have been quoting, and this is my reply, hopefully it will answer questions here too :)

The statement by Howard is interpreted in two different ways, the 27,000 he stated, and 'about half of the 50,000 MAP machines in USA and Europe', and the price is quoted as $55,000 :-

Stanelco will charge retailers about $55,000 (55,000) per machine a year for use of the technology. There are about 50,000 sealing machines in the UK, North America and Europe currently using the MAP method.

You get Frog Pack, Cradlewrap Aquasol,Adept Polymers and Starpol, Solutape,.... and Wal-mart for nothing. Not to mention that the market everyone is referring to is just Europe and N America. The world's second largest market lies in Japan - not yet mentioned nor is any of the packaging requirement in Taiwan, S.Korea, Australia N/Z, S.Africa, Brazil, etc etc..........None of these are yet factored in - probably because it is unrealistic to expect their requirements to be capable of being addressed for at least 2/3 years whilst SEO attain their stated objective to fit 27,000 machines and much less than half of the global market by then.

Just done some quick calculations following on from PM's post 6073. 27,000 machines would create an annual income of $1,485m, which, at $1.8 to the 1 is 825m. This annual revenue is knocking on for 1 (94p) for every share in issue (before costs/overheads/tax etc..). If the net profit on this is say 50% and the p/e is 20, the resultant sp should be around 9.40...Have I calculated this correctly?. How does this tie in with (Evo's?) rule of thumb that 1000 machines is worth 2.5p to the share price...27 x 2.5p = 67.5p.

The maths bit is ok...it's the assumptions behind it that need checking...Uncle Eric is good at that. If it's all true, I'll give up the poaching game and get my overalls on...how long will it take me to convert 27,000 machines?? When I've done that we'll have a banquet in Lincolnshire followed by a few pints in Doncaster.

They must be gettimg short of stock. I see they have brought the bid price back up to normal difference to get some sellers. I also noticed the sells, after, being added to the sells,were then deducted from the buys,from 4,423,770 the buys went down by the same amount as the next two sells.
