Football, What chances !, World Cup, Euro, Clubs, for all : home and away ! (FC)

required field - 14 Jul 2010 13:55

It is now time to switch to a new Money AM football blog as the world cup is now over and we all look to the future.....World cup 2010 is over, Bravo Espana, and Forlan, once again and bring on the new season !.....I never expected the last thread to be such a success...thanks all.... so this new one might go on for years without the need to edit the title...we shall see...

VICTIM - 08 Nov 2017 11:15 - 6066 of 6918

He's got a lot of bottle apparently , I phoned him and his wife said he's just popped out for a minute .

Stan - 08 Nov 2017 14:58 - 6067 of 6918

Dil, Sir Sam is good enough for the Pre-madona league so it must be that your national side are not good enough for him 😄

Dil - 09 Nov 2017 10:55 - 6068 of 6918

All the England team are good enough for the Premier league but where has that got them the last 50 years ?

Current England team is that bad to watch they might as well pick the whole Burnley team !

required field - 10 Nov 2017 18:20 - 6069 of 6918

Big..big games tonight but too many injuries for us....anyway.....madness : pitching Sweden against Italy...and Eire-Denmark....nuts....when you think that there are minnows that will qualify and Fifa do this.....

Stan - 12 Nov 2017 17:46 - 6070 of 6918

Only saw the last 50 mins but for the first time for ages I actually quite enjoyed how England played for once.

On a separate note, I see our reserves are still in with a chance of qualification then Dil 😀

Dil - 13 Nov 2017 09:10 - 6071 of 6918

Probably bored the arse off everyone in Denmark by diving and time wasting like they did when they did a job on Wales.

They will bring nothing to the tournament Stan so I'm hoping they lose.

Heard England played well for a change , maybe they should discard some of the first choice team and pick a team that aren't afraid to have a go.

Is Heaton back in training yet ?

Stan - 13 Nov 2017 10:05 - 6072 of 6918

No official news but be after Christmas it seems.

Italy being knocked out of the world cup is one of the greatest upsets ever !....it's on a par with Poland pipping England in 1973....perhaps worse as England had a very decent side indeed that year !.....Sweden are a very very difficult side to beat and you have to be at your very best to get the better of them....so sorry for Italy but congratulations to Sweden !.....

required field - 13 Nov 2017 21:57 - 6074 of 6918

I have to mention a big bravo to the England under 17teens ...the under 18teens...under 19teens..the under 20's...and the under 21's...for fantastic results overall this last year or so....quite amazing...the FA must be doing something right for all these England teams to perform so well....

required field - 13 Nov 2017 22:10 - 6075 of 6918

I had a punt on Italy tonight....just can't believe they did not get a goal....Northern Ireland have been a little bit unlucky so I hear....Ireland had better watch out tomorrow night ....anything could happen ...crazy...Fifa pitching these very good sides together...Europe need and deserve more spots at the world cup !....

iturama - 13 Nov 2017 22:32 - 6076 of 6918

Hard to believe there will be a world cup without the azzurri.

required field - 13 Nov 2017 22:37 - 6077 of 6918

It is unbelievable ...and a shame .....they play flamboyant football at times... I know I keep on saying this...FiFa need to give Europe more qualifiers...it's all very well giving spots to some of the minnows but the world cup should not be about populations or number of people playing soccer and tv rights...it should be about the best being there....

VICTIM - 14 Nov 2017 07:35 - 6078 of 6918

I hope Ireland get knocked out to the freakiest of goals , just to see Oniel's face , disgusting tactics , football supposed to entertain .

required field - 14 Nov 2017 08:11 - 6079 of 6918

I'm rooting for Ireland....come on the lads !.....

Dil - 14 Nov 2017 09:17 - 6080 of 6918

Well said Victim , I'll be cheering on Denmark. WC finals won't miss a thing if the time wasting diving Irish don't make it.

KidA - 14 Nov 2017 10:02 - 6081 of 6918

Italy out - female viewing figures down next year.

Will Denmark solve the ROI hard border problem?

Dil - 14 Nov 2017 10:09 - 6082 of 6918

A lot of whispers saying that Coleman will not be staying with Wales and tonight will be his last match in charge.

Happy days , just need Swansea to get rid of Clement and appoint Coleman to preside over the rest of their relegation campaign now.

Stan - 14 Nov 2017 11:37 - 6083 of 6918

No changes at Swansea til after Saturday please Dill -):

Dil - 15 Nov 2017 09:04 - 6084 of 6918

I hope his first signing for Swansea is that donkey Vokes. Missed a pen and did his usual sweet FA and was substituted half time.

On a positive note three of our youngsters who started had great games and even if they are only 17/18 year olds showed they are ready to step up and replace some of the dead wood that Coleman keeps picking. Would have had a much better chance of beating Ireland and qualifying for the WC with them in the team.

Only saw 10 minutes of England , good to see them giving youngsters like Ashley Young a chance !!!

Well done Denmark , did the football world a favour last night.

Stan - 15 Nov 2017 11:55 - 6085 of 6918

He never misses for his 1st team...Oh your so bitter Dil 😀

Brazil looked so good all over the pitch, but credit to England they worked hard and got a draw.

Well done the Danes as well, to win 5-1 away anywhere is impressive.
