little woman - 13 May 2004 13:00 - 6068 of 23498

Afternoon all,

Thought I'd catch up (as you've all been really busy in here over the last few days) Better stick to coffee as I have an hour to kill before I toddle off to present my treasurers report at the Local charities AGM. Last year I droned on for 2 pages, but this year I've cut it to half a page. It'll be interesting to see if anyone actually notices that I'm not explaining much!

Socrates - 13 May 2004 17:50 - 6069 of 23498

Good evening one and all. I was wondering if the cafe might like one of those big bubbly bath things put in for summer time. We could all sit around in it with our cocktails and fizzy drinkies with umbrellas in them having a wonderful time. Mind you, we would have to ban GD from it, can't have the filters bunged up with doggy hairs.

snoball - 13 May 2004 18:07 - 6070 of 23498

Sounds like a good idea Socs. The bath thing, not the doggy hairs.
What will the ladies have?

vasey - 13 May 2004 18:40 - 6071 of 23498

Champagne cocktail, please, snoball.......

good evening, socs, welcome home!

little willie - 13 May 2004 18:56 - 6072 of 23498

Hi Everyone, so Vaseys well ahead on the charlie specials, snoweys giving the ladies whatever [?] they want, just leaves Socs with his bonce immersed in trifle and myself ladling buckets of cold vanilla custard + the thick skin down my throat, purely attempting to soothe my sore throat.

This was caused by too much celebrating of a great doubles golf win today over a couple of chums in our weekly swindle; resultant prize was their treat of a couple of bottles of very brand new just released this week 2004 Sauvignon Blanc [Stunning} and a fresh Lobster & Oyster salad each plus 120 bucks.

Came home to lots of blue on screen after day golfing under clear blue skies and 25 degrees.....someone gotta do it!

Golddog - 13 May 2004 19:48 - 6073 of 23498

littlewillie, it's about time you got out more and enjoyed life instead of sitting at home reading 'wind in the willows' or whatever!, why not take up golf or something and treat yourself to a decent meal!

Hightone, It says in the gee gee rules that a minimum of 50 must be placed on a horse. remember this is a horse betting game and not 'bank the cash for a rainy day' game. :-)

Vasey, I had my fluffy ears trimmed today just for you.

Socrates - 13 May 2004 20:10 - 6074 of 23498

Vasey
"Welcome home"! Have I been away, I hadn't noticed. I hope I didn't do something I shouldn't have.

I hope everyone is hungry because I have 3 tons of those delicious crabs coming in tonight. 5 from a Russian fisherman, no questions asked. He's a great bloke but has some troubles with his Roubles, I didn't like to press further! Apparently crab and VC go quite well together so I guess Vasey will be having a good time tonight.

dotel - 13 May 2004 20:48 - 6075 of 23498

Oh - food! Yes please, just got in and haven't eaten all day. And a bubbly jacuzzi sounds wunnerful, especially with brollies on it..

Gd - where've you been?

Oh and guys..my turn for the Mumms big ribbon stuff :)

hightone - 13 May 2004 21:23 - 6076 of 23498

little willie, to find out, right click on this page and select 'view source'.
Then look at the top of the window that opens and click on 'search'.
Then click on 'find'.
Then fill in the box that opens with 'seVen'.
Then click on 'find next.
Then scroll down a few lines and you will see seVen's clever html.

I'll have a glass of the champers if there is any left.
It's a bit late but my afternoon snooze went on a bit longer
than I meant it to.

MightyMicro - 14 May 2004 00:21 - 6082 of 23498

OK, everybody, I'm fresh out of the Mumm Napa (another shipment expected soon), but I do have a half case of Sterling Vineyards excellent Cabernet Sauvignon from the "Three Palms" vineyard, right beside the winery at Calistoga, Napa.

Founded by a Brit, this is one of the great wines of the Napa.

Enjoy!

snoball - 14 May 2004 16:12 - 6083 of 23498
