Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Why don't you go and lie down and maybe Matron will visit you!

Perhaps, Clarke would be the best tory party leader the cons never had.

But, the tories always rush to see matron when the going gets tough.

grannyboy - 08 Jan 2017 18:51 - 6070 of 12628

Been for a lie down, and Matron called, she gave me a very nice massage,
she's coming the same time next week, this time dressed as a policewoman.

I'd recomend her to you little fred, but your heart couldn't stand the strain,
and wimps aren't her forte..

Portillo is the best Tory leader they never had.

I saw Clarke's interview and was waiting for him to burst into tears.

jimmy b - 08 Jan 2017 22:31 - 6072 of 12628

I always said that about Portillo myself , a decent man .

Poor old Fred still here banging on and very much alone ,it's enough to make me cry.

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2017 09:05 - 6073 of 12628

Your usual crocodile tears?

What is all this fuss is about trading with our European partners ? hard brexit/ soft brexit....blinkin nonsense all round....we export and import....we come to an arrangement with them about customs.....what is all this palaver about trading ?....perhaps the EU excesses are going to come to light with the general public finding out about all the corrupt payments that have undoubtedly been going on !......we can't have that can we....dear oh dear....you can rest assured that cover-ups will be the name of the game !....but I reckon over time some untouchables might be named with their noses stuck deep in the trough !....

Fred1new - 09 Jan 2017 14:43 - 6076 of 12628

Why has the market devalued the pound by 15+%.

Are we 15% worse off?

Will the pound drop further?

Market seemed to like Maybe speech to-day.

=-=-

Don't see any reason for a fuss.

mentor - 09 Jan 2017 15:43 - 6077 of 12628

I hope they do it fast, so we get rid of pain in the @rse........Freda
Make it fast before Jeremy gets the chance to change someone's mind

Merkel Calls For Faster Deportation Of Failed Asylum Seekers

BERLIN (Alliance News) - Chancellor Angela Merkel calls for moves to speed up the deportation of failed asylum seekers as well as improvements in the networking among European security services.

Experience shows that the authorities could decide much more quickly whether asylum seekers can stay in Germany and whether their countries of origin were secure enough to return to, Merkel says.

"We need better networking in the EU," she says.

VICTIM - 09 Jan 2017 15:48 - 6078 of 12628

I wish they would move faster on getting rid of her , stupid woman caused the whole problem practically on her own , no thought whatsoever .

cynic - 09 Jan 2017 15:59 - 6079 of 12628

why do some of you continue to delude yourselves that trade deals can be done within a couple of weeks?
for all sorts of good reasons (and bad probably as well) they are very complex

If so there seem a few on this thread who could play themselves.

cynic - 09 Jan 2017 16:22 - 6082 of 12628

don't be so touchy .... it wasn't a response to your post, but an observation of a number of others on this thread

VICTIM - 09 Jan 2017 16:27 - 6083 of 12628

I was going to talk about playing with myself but ....

VICTIM - 09 Jan 2017 16:33 - 6084 of 12628

Am I correct that vat will be abolished when we leave the EU in full ?......if so that is when the big frauds might appear with certain companies/people defrauding the EU system on a massive scale ! : these companies probably depend on the dodgy system and without it will fold.....some big boys might end up in the nick !...they must have cursed when the Leave camp won......

grannyboy - 09 Jan 2017 18:24 - 6088 of 12628

No VAT won't be abolished, whether they change the name thats
another matter, before VAT there was a sales tax put on sales.
