THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Thanks for those, guys. Doesn't Donny look wonderful. Can't possibly be me in the photos though.
Firstly I wore a fuschia pink bry-nylon jumpsuit, set off by a lovely mauve taffeta tu-tu. And secondly, there are no stains from where I shit myself!!!

i did the old trafford tour today. a very enjoyable few hours, especially when it's pissing down. i quite liked the interactive touchscreen bit, where you can bring up any player and select brief clips of them in action. tres cool.

goldfinger - 05 Jul 2005 23:48 - 616 of 81564

Bosley can you please give more detail on this as Im rather interested.

cheers me.

bosley - 06 Jul 2005 07:17 - 617 of 81564

gf, what would you like to know?

hewittalan6 - 06 Jul 2005 08:00 - 618 of 81564

Hi Bos,
Noticed you have your own personal thread (AGL). Got one myself (BBC). Have you given yourself any good advice? Can't seem to get any sense out of myself when I put messages on mine!!!
Alan

bosley - 06 Jul 2005 09:20 - 619 of 81564

i give myself tons of good advice, alan. one day i will act upon this good advice and maybe stop pissing money away. wish i had some spare money to actually buy agl. i think it's a slow burner but will come good in a few years.

The Olympics are coming to London. Many sports are not represented in the games and the IOC have asked the London committee to come up with some extra events on a trial basis.
I would like to hear nominations for new events and possible competitiors for these events. Such as ii competing in "catching the javelin for those too stupid to be allowed to live".
Any ideas anyone??

PT

Do you work in the city? If so look after yourself. The same for anyone else who works in London.

MS, thankfully on the fringe of it.

FKing nightmare. not that people think of trading but having been involved in incidents like this from a trading perspective the advice is keep a cool head. it is out of your control MM's are away from their desks and prices are wide. don't trade unless to close a position and never take advantage of a horrific cowardly act such as this.

Thoughts on this thread, the board and loved ones is that we hope casualties are to a minimum and that this spineless inhuman scum that reaked this upon innocent londeners are brought to justice.

mickeyskint - 07 Jul 2005 11:58 - 624 of 81564

Well said PT. I would like to cut their bollocks off with a spoon. I shall be doing nothing untill things settle down.

Read alot on all threads, reference rampers and bashers ignoring todays horrific events, and trying to make a buck. Words like lowlife and scum abound and I agree entirely.
However, have you noticed that normally stable share prices have dropped significantly, even though there has been no selling? Surely the worst kind of scum are the MM's who have dropped the SP, to fuel anxiety and make a mint from the market nervousness.
Case in point, my pet share BBC, which has dropped over 2% on trading of buys outnumbering sells by 5 to 1.
On a day like today, who gives a stuff about trading and making money? I don't, but some black hearted pig must do to make the markets perform as they have.

Alan

Very true. Many shares will have been marked down today irrespective of the relationship between buying and selling. The MMs will have made a mint when the Market recovers its equilibrium. Distasteful to say the least.
