If you're having any problems, or want to suggest some improvements, please post below!
Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.
The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.
This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)
If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

mad,
It is linked to the problem highlighted above with regard to static trades page. We are looking into it and hope to have it resolved as soon as possible,

TT,
The guys are still working on it - I appreciate that you may be behind a firewall, and in which case you cannot access the streaming version, but that is obviously correct. I will let you know as soon as they have resolved the issue.

dave,
Believe me if I could flick a switch to resolve this I would - our suppliers are still looking into this and I will update you when I have feedback and a eta on LAND.
Once again please accept my apologies for this,
Ian

Is there a problem with the RNS's, none showing up on my stockwatch or news stream and notice Imperial Energy have had a couple today?

mick,
I have just checked and all rns is where it should be - could be a case of a cached page possibly. If you see it again, can you try a restart on your machine please?

update on LAND market maker.
Our suppliers now have this with their testing deparmtn, which means they have a fix and are running tests to make sure that it will not cause any further issues when implemented.
I will notify you when this process is complete and it goes live.

Dave,
Again apologies - our suppliers want to be sure that no further problems will be caused by deployment, but we hope to have the fix available as soon as possible,

i just give up now, so won't bother the thread again. Utterly useless. If moneyam had anything about them you'd tell your suppliers where to go.

[Edit: Please let me make it clear that I don't speak for MoneyAM nor am I employed by them.]
dave leach:
Clearly you are something of an expert in these matters (market data feeds, software development and QA methodologies, customer relationship management and so on) and I'm sure we'd all benefit from your cogent and informed advice.
Perhaps you could describe your experience for us and we could then all draw upon your received wisdom.
What I can contribute to this debate is that, to my knowledge, no major financial institution relies wholly on a single feed supplier. But then they spend a great deal more than 20/month/head on their feeds.
What I can also add, is that every feed has its problems and foibles which cause various degrees of distress. For example, a favourite trick of most of them is to invalidate instruments, usually derivatives or futures, without troubling their users by informing them beforehand. Moving instruments from one part of the feed to another is another curved ball that they treat us to every so often. That always has tears of mirth running down our cheeks.
A speciality of Reuters is to forget to update rolling instruments at month ends, that's always a bundle of fun for everyone. Suddenly next month's futures are as useful as last week's FT.
Dicky ticker plants also bring us hours, even days, of sheer unadulterated joy while we try to explain to skeptical suppliers that it might just be their problem after all. Their white flag being run up in that case often manifests itself in a sudden, but mute, switch of tickerplant.
So, Dave, as you can see, we need all the help we can get and I feel sure that you'll be willing to give us the benefit of your experience.

Hi Dave,
Like MightyMicro, I don't have any connection with Moneyam.
But would like to add my two pennoth,
First I can fully understand your frustration especially if it effects a share you want to keep a close eye on.
I am a bit of a techniphobe so any glitch with technology sends me up the wall very quickly. I am OK with anything with an on/off switch, beyond that I get stuck.
What I can say is over the years I have been a member of 2 other sites re level 2,
market feeds etc, and had free trials on a couple of others and left them not so much because of the glitches that occurred (although they did appear to have more than this site) but mainly because of their pathetic customer service. One site ignored any complaints/comments sometimes for days.
If there is an ongoing problem, at least his site quickly lets you know, even if it takes some sorting.
If there is a better site for the money than Monayam then I for one would try it.

put it this way, of all the level 2 data feeds it would seem this useless outfit (moneyam) are the only ones who cannot get a feed from LAND. They may be quick at responding on this thread, so what, they respond but sod all gets fixed quick. Piss poor this lot. 1 week to sort a correct level 2 data feed and still not a result.

dave,
again I can only apologise, and rest assured all is being done that can be done by our suppliers to rectify this. As soon as they have fully tested the fix and it is in place I will let you know. Believe me I do understand your frustration, and nothing would make me happier than having this resolved.
