News for this stock is scarce.
I think your anticipated chart movement was based more on hope than research.
I can find nothing to support an increase. Sorry.

Anyone still holding this stock?
News this morning is positive but hardly awe inspiring.

Contract drill rigs are now drilling along Brigade Line 17 where previous drill
programmes in the 1970's encountered significant mineralisation in the North
East and Central sections of the licence area ('the North East Zone')
Alastair Clayton, Chairman of South China Resources said from London - 'The
recent discoveries in the South West Zone, an area of previously unknown
mineralisation are highly encouraging. Significant widths of high and in some
cases, very high grade copper mineralisation clearly fit in with our development
plans at Danfeng where a selective, shallow-underground development using
horizontal drives into the mountain hosting mineralisation could leverage very
strongly off a low-cost mining and processing environment.
'We are very pleased with the consistency with which the company geologists are
reporting an increasing abundance of copper and molybdenum sulphide minerals in
drill core. We are continuing to work on the challenges associated with
providing accurate and representative molybdenum assay data to shareholders and
we look forward to releasing the results of this study as soon as all data has
been evaluated.'
Explanatory maps and photographs of recent drill core that accompany this
announcement and the RNS dated 22 September 2006 can be viewed on the company

As you will see this was the last RNS from 1/11/2006

With funding now in place, why is this SP still falling like a stone. Is it likely to fall to the placement price of 5p. This is now high on my watch list because of the percentage drop over recent weeks. During 2007 this should increase at least fourfold maybe more depending on where it finishes.

I missed the boat 9 months ago, I'm not going to miss it this time. 2006 saw 8p to 28p and back, so anything below 8p would be a bargain.

oilyrag I have been doing a little research, have you kept up with this?
I didn't, but there are some valueable posts on TMF worth reading.
This is the first thread
This is a thread so read it top to bottom.
This none is the most informative.

Thanks very much SWW. I have read most of these threads and found them to be very informative. The last one I found, although long winded, very well put over.

Me too!
I am holding off a planned purchase for now, until such time as some clarification of yesterday's RNS.

One overriding thought is that, the institutions would require considerably more quarantees than us, before parting with 5.535 million on their recent flotation. If my memory serves me correctly, they mentioned in one of the threads about not needing a further floatation. These are the sort of conflicting statements that muddy the waters. If the institutions paid 5p, then thats the price I want to pay.

The 5.535 million was at a price of 13.5p

marcel1970,
Well the market certainly agrees with you!
A healthy 30% rise today, on high volume, possibly suggests a turning point in sentiment at least.
SCR have to deliver now, Denfang grades are required, and if SRK have done their job, we may well hear before the AGM later this month,
