Level2 changes
In the last few weeks we've needed to implement some code changes to make us compliant with the LSE's rules on the access of Level2 data.

The following requirement is now in place:
You can only use 1 program on 1 computer to access Level2 on MoneyAM using a single username.

This means that you are able to view as many Level2 windows using any one particular browser, or program, that you wish, however you will not be able to use both Firefox and Internet Explorer at the same time (the same goes for using Quote Tracker or TradeSeeker at the same time as viewing it using a web browser)

If you find you're being logged off of MoneyAM's Level2 with the message 'you've logged on from another location' then check the above and make sure you're not running any other programs at the same time before reporting this as a bug.

put it this way, of all the level 2 data feeds it would seem this useless outfit (moneyam) are the only ones who cannot get a feed from LAND. They may be quick at responding on this thread, so what, they respond but sod all gets fixed quick. Piss poor this lot. 1 week to sort a correct level 2 data feed and still not a result.

again I can only apologise, and rest assured all is being done that can be done by our suppliers to rectify this. As soon as they have fully tested the fix and it is in place I will let you know. Believe me I do understand your frustration, and nothing would make me happier than having this resolved.

dave: if you have another level 2 data feed, why are you so concerned about this one? What other services are you using? Who are their suppliers?

Also: you're not listening -- it's not MoneyAM's fault.

MoneyAM's feed (as was revealed earlier) is ComStock, who are owned by International Data Group (ComStock was formerly owned by S&P of the eponymous 500 Index.) IDG, in turn, are 60% owned by Pearson Group who own the Financial Times. They also own eSignal who also use ComStock as a data feed. So they will have had exactly the same problem.

I'd be happy to give you the email addresses of the Presidents of both companies so you can address them with your thoughts on the matter, including telling them how pisspoor they are, instead of berating MoneyAM who respond quickly to complaint as you admit, but are just a customer of ComStock too in the end.

Yes Dave, as previously stated they want to make sure it does not cause any additional problems before deployment. I apologise again and will of course let you know when it is due to go live.

Our suppliers have informed me that final testing will take place today - if there are no problems, the fix will be released over the weekend. I will update you should there be any change,

Non streaming monitor stuck ?

I don't believe this, our power went off 10 mins ago!! We are used to a few brief cuts were I live but they usually last just a few seconds. The battery on my laptop has about 1 hour left in it. Bet you don't even know what a power cut is Dil?!!

I used to use proquote a few years back, back in the days when I understand a bunch of trainspotters shared a new password each week, and when the count still owned a big chunk.

It's a great service - but it's not the same type of service as MAM - comparing them is just silly.
