Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

Vicky,
Gee.
You are quick.
But with a little bit of help, you may find the meaning contained within the cartoons.
Get a book for Dummies on Cartoons.

I don't know what that cartoon is about anyway because the USA is keen to work with us ,as are many others , just get loose from the restrictive EU and we will be fine.
It is the EU that needs to worry ,it's nearly over for them.

I didn't notice Corbyn receiving his award for his role in La la Land. Now he is bumbling on about capping wages. Apparently, in his words, sic " it is used in other countries and we are studying". I wonder where. Venezuela perhaps where that socialist deary Maduro has just increased the minimum wage by 50% "to combat inflation". The monthly minimum wage will now be worth $12 at black market money rates. He needs to combat the inflation in his fat ass and leave. A once financially sound country has been ruined by 17 years of socialism of the kind Corbyn adores.

Iturama, as we will no longer be part of the EU, it won't be called vat (well I doubt it), probably there will be a name change because the EU won't be involved....

Corbyn is doing wonders for the tories......just let him get on with it........the French had a certain communist George Marchais that tried the same thing years ago.....got them nowhere......Labour are going nowhere with this diabolical attitude.....

I'm not to sure about corbyn doing wonders for the Tory's, but if UKIP

heartlands...

I wouldn't worry RF. It will still be VAT. In Germany it is UST, France TVA, IVA in Spain etc. So the name is not covered by patent, nor the rates uniform. It is the third largest source of revenue to the government and relatively easy to administer.

Dumbo,
I have complete faith in everything said by Donald and his fellow conspirators.
He is shown to be a man of his word.
The would think the majority of deals of USA to Europe and UK will be done by "Companies" and "Individual" not the governments who will be arranging the rules and regulations and red tape.

Well now we know where Corbyn stands on freedom of movement after yesterday's clear as mud speech by the loony.
Did all the speech writers and policy advisors leave Labour when he was elected ?
Could be an opening for you Fred , at least we all know your position on any given subject.

The EU has more to lose from hard Brexit than the UK, Mark Carney says
By Steven Swinford, Deputy Political Editor and
Harry Yorke
12 January 2017 • 7:59am
The EU has more to lose from Brexit than the UK, the Governor of the Bank of England has said as he admitted that Britain's economy will defy his own gloomy forecasts and grow at a faster rate than expected.
Mark Carney conceded that Brexit is no longer the biggest domestic risk to Britain's economy after issuing a series of dire warnings about the consequences of a leave vote in the run up to the EU referendum.
The Bank of England is now “very likely” to improve its economic forecast next month, Mr Carney said as he said he was “surprised” that the economic slowdown that he forecast has not materialised.
He said: "In the run up to the referendum we felt that it was the largest risk [to the economy]. There were a series of things that could have happened that would have had financial stability consequences. Of course having got through the night the day after the scale of the immediate risks around Brexit have gone down."
