How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Bolton game looks Dire - unders already down to 1.45 after 15 mins lol, which to me makes Bolton way too short at 2.5

Just been checking out the Bolton game. Bolton only need a draw to reach the knockout stages. Probably why the game is on the crappy side.

Their opponents are currently 3rd from bottom in their Portugese league but bottom in their UEFA cup mini league whereas Bolton are top.

Ball popping around the place a lot, quite open play, but poor quality. Plenty of crosses but never anybody on the end.

Had a small wager on Marseille. Gave it up as a lost cause. Only noticed when I refreshed my P&L that they had won 1-0. Scored in the 90 min.

Every little helps

"ever get the feeling some people just dont want to listen over on the YOO thread... "

It's annoying. All I am trying to do is give them some decent advice, nothing more. But people just get so tied up in a position sometimes. It's such a dangerous thing to do. Sometimes the truth really hurts.

Harlosh - 24 Nov 2005 21:51 - 6129 of 10502

I never make my own coffee when I'm trading if I can help it. I'm sure it's a jinx.
