THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

PORTUGAL
i don't know what "model" gov't they have here, but talking from lisbon, it certainly looks to be working with massive improvements throughout the city and many new businesses springing up

whatever hays may think, i don't think anything stupid will be done here following the next elections

What happened over the road cynic ? it seems not much happened no one posts there ,did it not take off with the old crowd who moved ?

cynic - 02 Jul 2015 09:23 - 61172 of 81564

confess i have abandoned it ...... there were a couple of good sites, but got bored with lack of others ...... surprised not to have heard direct from GF

Fred1new - 02 Jul 2015 09:31 - 61173 of 81564

Ian,

Is it time to have GF back?

I can guess the problems.

=====

JB,

The problem for over the wall for me is that the lay out is off putting and learning the key strokes irritating.

In spite of recent problems Moneyam layout is more comfortable seems simpler and for me informative.

Content wise it is good except for a few posters.

--0-0--

For me it is a pity that GF blew it, for much of his postings were in general lucid and the chart thread informative.

T'is a pity.

Miss his challenges.

I don't like the site at all .I like mam for all it's recent troubles it's still the only BB i ever use ,generally good old folk on here .

Yes a shame that GF's gone he was the first one on here that i used to communicate with over 10 years ago .

Gotta say that I feel really sorry for Laura Bassett this morning.

ExecLine - 02 Jul 2015 10:27 - 61179 of 81564

Agreed.

The Lionesses are a truly magnificent team. In fact, more so because lady's soccer at this level is pretty phenominal, IMHO.

I do think we are witnessing a watershed moment.

jimmy b - 02 Jul 2015 10:38 - 61180 of 81564

Did i miss something ?

Haystack - 02 Jul 2015 10:42 - 61181 of 81564

Yes. The English women's football team saved us from mass national furvour and hysteria by scoring an own goal and booting themselves out of the world semi finals.

jimmy b - 02 Jul 2015 10:45 - 61182 of 81564

Women playing football ? is it something like this ?

MaxK - 02 Jul 2015 10:45 - 61183 of 81564

Soon , they will be demanding "fair" competition with male teams.

From the Guardian just now

Greek debt crisis: Yanis Varoufakis says he'll resign if Greece votes Yes - live updates

MaxK - 02 Jul 2015 11:39 - 61187 of 81564

yes, but Varoufakis is the only one stating the bleeding obvious...they cant pay it as it stands, and no amount of posturing will change that fact.
