Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?
What will the price of oil be in 4 weeks time?

Do you mean your kind?
I would think the majority would stop the bus and get off!

Fred - try pinot from Washington State or Oregon .... they're not cheap, but very good indeed and still cheaper than top grower burgundy ...... some surprisingly good wines from Sicily which i recommend you investigate

Cynic,
Only just driven up from Beaune.
I have tried some Americans and enjoyed them.
But in all honesty my pallette is described as poor and wanting.
Mainly something not to strong, wet and red.
My daughter has an export- import wine company which flogs Australian wine to Italy, France and Spain and imports for some of the major restaurants etc in Australia.
She doesn't think much of my taste in many things.
-
Sorry American wines not Americans.
Wine production has or seems to have improved tremendously over the last 40 years, and surprisingly the cheaper wines seem to me very good.
--------------
Have nice evening with a enjoyable bottle of what you takes your fancy.

i would still recommend you try pinot from WS and O -imo much better than those from CA
from sicily, it's worth getting hold of I Vigneri 2010 (about £20.00) ... though it's 14%, it does not drink anything like that heavy .... if you're interested, i'll look out the invoice at my office ..... the uk supplier has a great range of really unusual italian wines

Cynic,
Thank you.
I will take your advice. But my vices generally cost me a lot less that you are able to afford.

Also, I think in view of what is happening in Israel and Gaza this thread is not the right one for hedonism.
That is nice and pompous, but rolled of the tongue, but is sincere.
-----------------------------
I think the Israeli actions are appalling and will eventually be found to be misguided.
An eye for an eye is a primitive response and does not lead I to any possible healing process.
The Israeli people are being poorly led at present and I am saddened by Obama's quoted response to the present murderous actions.
The ME has changed since the "spring" and maybe more organised in its retaliation to the "murder" which is being heaped upon some "innocents".
The action disgusts me and many people I have recently spoken to.
That does not mean that the Palestinians are without fault, but I do think they are being abused by inhuman tactics and a disregard of their human rights.
I believe you are a Jew and have read your posts over the years, and although I can understand some of your cynicism and perhaps, that myself being a cynical B. have sometimes similar doubts, but strangely, I am an optimist and think that fair solutions are possible. (What is there without hope.)
As stated, previously I have had Jewish friends and even Jewish girls friends, when I was younger, and hold nothing against the "race", religion, or culture, but I do disagree with abuses of one "race" by another based on false premises.
(Criticism, I think should be tolerated.)
What Israel is doing in the M.E. at present is no better that the Fascist did to the Jews in the thirties and forties.
The actions were appalling and so are the actions of the Israeli administration over the recent years.
The Germans people let themselves down by succumbing to "propaganda" similarly to many Israelis and Jews to-day.

Video: Hamas warns it will renew suicide attacks
By JPOST.COM STAFF

Hamas's armed wing on Saturday night released a Hebrew-language video warning that it would renew its deadly suicide bombing campaign in Israel.
Introduced with a message "from the Palestinian nation to the Zionists," the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades video added "We have missed the suicide [bombs]... wait for us soon in stores, buses and cafes."

I don't understand why the conflict was triggerred again. Innocent people have been killed and many more will suffer again. Both sides are suffering.
Is anyone going to benefit from this?

it really only requires common sense and a modicum of flexibility to sort out the m/e ...... unfortunately, politicians and attaching zealots do not comprehend either of those words ...... further, it is never just two pugilists in a ring, but also a number of outsiders whose ends it suits for assorted reasons for there to be ongoing strife and unrest and worse, totally regardless of the interests, impact and wishes of the innocent general populace

GAZA — Masked gunmen in Gaza killed a man here on Friday as a suspected collaborator with Israel on the third day of its deadly aerial bombardments, shooting him multiple times and leaving his body beneath a billboard featuring a Hamas fighter holding a rocket.
