8 posts since I last look - got to be a few more Forex pearls of wisdom.... but all I find is pictures from the ECB website (members only section) :-)

Cable..
On a weekly chart its come back as far as it can without breaking the weekly up trend in place since April...
Its also bounced off the 38% fib from the highs near 1.9150 from the uptrend starting from 1.8200 in July.
So imo it either comes back to the 50% level and previous interim low at 1.8620 area OR its heading back up..
I am going with the latter.. I would be surprised is it retested 1.8725 its low this week. I expect it to start climbing back in the direction of 1.9000.
This week high to low it has come off 300 pips.. enough I say..
Higher rates have not gone away...in this country... its just that the time frame may have shifted back slightly.
How quickly it will get back to 1.91 and beyond is another matter, but my money is on it heading back in that direction.

Foale, I have that feeling in my waters as well. I closed my short earlier for a small profit, and I also think it's fallen too far too fast. But I'm an Fx novice so this is definitely not a pearl of wisdom.
MM, only joking - nice to have a bit of humour to lighten the day. More pictures please ladies - naughty or otherwise ;-)

Well I'm sorry to pour cold water on your ideas, but I think it's a bit premature to start buying it yet. Admittedly, the reward from shorting it down here is probably outweighed by the risk, but I don't see any clear signals to buy it yet either.
Not saying that it won't go up, but I feel it needs a bit more time. If it is going to go up, there'll be a window to buy in the future.

Thanks Hilary, not actually buying yet, just think a swing short from here is perhaps a bit risky.

Hilary...do you see further downside, or a lower target , or is it that you just dont yet see signs of a bottom forming, which of course is true.
...and of course its falling as we speak.

I'm short from overnight - still a little way down to go I think.

D,
Looking at the hourlies, I see it below my moving averages which are still firmly heading down. It could take another day or so till they start to level off. I also see it well below the falling resistance line which has been tested several times this week and rejected each time so is clearly defined. Finally, I see oversold oscillators which doesn't mean much at this stage as they could unwind through a sideways consolidation in the price. I'd at very least like to see my oscillators start heading upwards first.
I guess then, in answer to your question, I don't see signs of a bottom yet.

Would like to see a retrace now back towards my entry price before pushing higher again. A double bottom in other words which would give me confidence to add.
