How to profit from Betting Exchanges (BEX)

How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?

Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

Fundamentalist - 24 Nov 2005 21:54 - 6131 of 10502

Free header for the home side - shocking defending, good goal from Bolton, great finish from one of the youngsters

WOODIE - 25 Nov 2005 13:31 - 6146 of 10502

Fundamentalist - 25 Nov 2005 13:37 - 6147 of 10502

Do you mean Aus v WI - if so ill let you know after the highlights as i dont know the final score yet

WOODIE - 25 Nov 2005 13:41 - 6148 of 10502

fundy yes sorry

Fundamentalist - 25 Nov 2005 13:55 - 6149 of 10502

Awesome innings from Lara - all hail the master!!! hes now within touching distance of being the highest run scorer ever in test cricket (been waiting for someone to go past Border for a long while!!!)

At 350-7 theyve done well but unless one of the tail manage to hang around in the morning (unlikely) then theyll struggle to bat 4 sessions on what is a very good batting track. Would be surprised to see Australia struggle to reach 450 so would expect them to have a small lead by close of play on the second day. Based on that Windies are going to have to bat at least 4 sessions in their second innings to give themselves or the draw a chance

that said the Aussies look too short and the draw a bit too long to me
