How would you like to trade a market where you get large regular price swings every 10 minutes in the afternoon, seven days a week. A
market where all prices are set purely by supply and demand, few transaction costs, no middle men and you only pay commission if you win? Where you can freely act as a market maker and where you have direct market access and where you can create a spread for others to take?
Betfair has revolutionised the betting market and created an open platform for exchanging risk on sports events. This market is now viewed much more like a traditional financial risk market than an old fashioned betting market. Smart users have realised that there are huge opportunities on Betfair because they can buy and sell risk in much the same way they would in a normal financial market but without the burden of cost or the restricted access that is usually associated with traditional financial markets.

I think the rampers should hold their head in shame, its disgusting that people post false information and suck more people into these situations, some of the investors just can't afford to lose money.

Scrip
have to be honest i looked very closely at them with a view to buying in but when they issued the rights issue and the proposed to buy RAF with paper when the two came to less than 10m when they supposedly had 350m in the bank it just stank - another one that fell into the category of "if it seems too good to be true then it is!" As soon as it was suspended anyone with half a brain knew the shares were worth zero yet many people still expected them to re-list at 150p per share.
Some very sad tales being posted across the way from naive investors who got sucked in

"it just stank"
When I read some of the early posts I thought they were a wind up. So bizarre and complicated. I phoned Langbar / Crown / whatever and was not at all convinced. None of it made sense, so I'd rather pass a peice of upside than get lumped with some almightly downside. It's the stuff of fairy tales.
I'll keep an eye on the story but I think I know the basics already, it doesn't take KROLL to work that one out!
Very sad for the niave.

We are currently aware that some users may be experiencing some site slowness. We have identified that there are some issues with latency at our Data Centre and we and our vendors are investigating this as a matter of urgency. Please also be aware that some individual ISPs are having problems tonight which you may wish to investigate with them separately.

Anybody know the story about Royal Katidoki Newbury 1.05?
Opened 11/4f drifted out steadily to 6/1 at the off.
During this time you could get 8.2 on Beftair when it was 9/2 on Ceefax
and 10 close to the off!
I was due to back it but didn't in view of all this - I think it must have fallen/PU or
UR. So I've saved a bit for later on.

schiff cant give an answer as i was watching football just a reminder if you bet in running on the exchanges watch what you are doing as they is always someone out there that will have an advantage over the punters that are at home.
