THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Probably :-(

aldwickk - 04 Aug 2015 22:39 - 61849 of 81564

Another so called hunter been posted on Face book today posing with a dead lion, asking for people to name him. Big fat German slob by the look of him.

We are all in it together for hard working people!

Same type of individuals are gathered around Putin!

hilary - 05 Aug 2015 08:06 - 61853 of 81564

Alders,

Tell me please. If you had to choose between an unregulated broker in Cyprus which was probably owned by either Russians or Arabs, and a fully regulated broker in London or Australia, offering government backed segregation of client funds, which would you choose?

aldwickk - 05 Aug 2015 08:29 - 61854 of 81564

Why are they allowed to promote these in the UK , you can't advertise pyramid selling here , in the US they seem to be able to make any claims they like, from get rich quick scam's to cure all types of diseases scam's

Fred1new - 05 Aug 2015 08:38 - 61855 of 81564

It depends on the regulations and regulators.

A recent meeting at No 10?

iturama - 05 Aug 2015 09:56 - 61856 of 81564

I have been using Windows 10 for a few days now and it is a big improvement over Win 8. Apart from being more user friendly, it is more stable. I've noticed my laptop runs much quieter.

hilary - 05 Aug 2015 09:59 - 61857 of 81564

The last time I checked, Alders, Cyprus was still in the EU. Free trade is the expression, I believe.

But, as it happens, the US are very strict when it comes to financial services regulation. They require more margin, they banned hedging, they impose FIFO, and US citizins are not allowed to use offshore brokers. And if you're an offshore broker caught selling to US citizens, the yanks will have you extradited and thrown in the slammer.

itur,

Have you had any conflicts with any software or setups?

Are you running microsoft office and if so which version?

Thinking about upgrading but hate having to relearn old tricks.

May wait until the "bugs" are sorted out by the more adventurous!

FRED YOUR HERO

cynic - 05 Aug 2015 10:58 - 61861 of 81564

aneurin bevan and jimmy reid are more to the liking of fred

i can fully understand an admiration for the former, albeit that i would not agree with his views, but not much time for the latter

Haystack - 05 Aug 2015 12:40 - 61862 of 81564

Tanker
That was NOT what Corbyn said. I saw the quote and he replied to the question by saying, "if he has committed war crimes then he should be prosecuted". That is very different from what you posted. His reply was a general one and applies to anyone.

ExecLine - 05 Aug 2015 14:10 - 61863 of 81564

Not so, Haystack.

Amazingly, but true, I fear Tanker is perfectly correct on this one:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/labour/11784095/Tony-Blair-should-stand-trial-for-war-crimes-over-Iraq-invasion-Jeremy-Corbyn-says.html

Haystack - 05 Aug 2015 14:44 - 61864 of 81564

No. The Telegraph is spinnng the story. I saw the interview on BBC last night and viewed it again just now. You can see it in their web site.

Interviewer: Should he be tried for war crimes
Corbyn: If he has committed a war crime, yes. Everyone who has committed a war crime should be.

That is nothing like the Telegraph's article.

Fred1new - 05 Aug 2015 14:49 - 61865 of 81564

I, now realise where Exec and Manuel have obtained the political beliefs from!

uuuumh!

cynic - 05 Aug 2015 14:51 - 61866 of 81564

neither aneurin bevan nor jimmy reid that's for sure!

Fred1new - 05 Aug 2015 15:06 - 61867 of 81564

There is a difference between beliefs and understanding.

You seem to lack the ability to comprehend ot do the latter.

Mind you can always follow your past leaders.

I am surprised that Heath wasn't and old etonian!
