anyone for Zi Med. ? (ZIM)

skyhigh - 15 Dec 2003 16:16

Is anyone into Zi Medical like me ? Gone up a penny today to 7.6p on strength of Sunday Telegraph article - it's looking better, at long last !

hilldee - 05 Oct 2004 11:24 - 62 of 103

NOW a pattern is beginning to emerge and, for one who can read the portents, its a pretty good one. Its becoming evident that this IS a stock where a sensible disposal program can cause a price downturn. No need to go overboard but the price CAN be knocked by about 2.5 pence and that, in a 10p stock is a PROFIT.All that remains, now, is to ride with the highs and buy on the lows.Probably you need to have a reserve of around 100/- and gamble with 25/- to 40/-. The reason I say this is that, if you gamble with all, then you are, inevitably, going to be at the wrong end when the bid finally comes - and bid there will be...but when, thats the BIG question.

skyhigh - 05 Oct 2004 11:52 - 63 of 103

Good post Hilldee..
Need to see if this is just a short term flash in the pan and an opportunity for the mm's to pump & dump and then pick up more at lower prices.. who knows..
Hopefully we'll get a positive rns soon to ensure share price follow through..
onwards & upwards ... :)

BANKONE - 06 Oct 2004 08:29 - 64 of 103

The buys are continuing this morning ratio of 10buys to one sale. Sustained early buying suggests Baxter Healthcare rumour strong. Look forward to a couple of point tick up today.

skyhigh - 06 Oct 2004 09:06 - 65 of 103

Yes, It looks good..up again this morning... Let's hope we see an announcement soon.

hilldee - 07 Oct 2004 11:08 - 66 of 103

Seems strange that only skyhigh and BANKONE show any interest in this situation.Maybe all those who chose to rush in at 25p are out there licking their wounds. There IS a profit to be made in this one, just a question of when....NOW. For the two attentive readers, lets go on to identify some similar situations out there and I STRESS none have recently been posted on Moneyam's lists. Dont say they have never been mentioned but certainly not recently and the situations REMAIN as valid now as when first mooted. trouble with today's children is that they all want it NOW. Patience, in stock purchases, can often be a virtue and REAL MONEY can be made on the many cycles that a smaller stock goes thro'. I made my first pile in a stock called DENNIS MOTORS and those who can remember will know that I was a mere stripling at the time.Given to me by an old, Jewish, gentleman I naively asked 'what do they do' to have him reply 'what do you mean what do they do. You are going to make money, who gives a shit what they do.'I have bent the rules some since then but I have never lost sight of the need to 'make money'

skyhigh - 07 Oct 2004 11:45 - 67 of 103

hilldee,
Apart from ZIM, I'm into NWD, ARC (good results should be coming up end of month/beg Nov.)
SOP, & ERX, PXC, RTD,
I'm also into a few others but the above, I think should show gains over the coming weeks/months (all imho)

BANKONE - 11 Oct 2004 08:52 - 68 of 103

hilldee and skyhigh and any one else interested in this share here is maybe the reason why there was so much interest in this share last week or is the Baxter healthcare scenario still appropriate - more tick ups to look forward to :-)

UK small cap opening - Zi Medical firm on Braun deal
AFX - LONDON (AFX) - Zi Medical made early progress in response to news that the company has signed an agreement with B Braun for Zi's new fluid infusion device which is currently under development.

Zi shares were 1.00 firmer at 10.00 pence by 7.44 am.

skyhigh - 11 Oct 2004 09:11 - 69 of 103

It's looking better all the time !
Should see a further notice within the next month or two about Zi selling drip machines to american market. (More likely to happen in the USA as they take "productivity" improvements more seriously than UK (& the rest of Europe !)
If this happens (and any other positive sales news) this share will indeed go "Skyhigh" (imho)

hilldee - 11 Oct 2004 14:46 - 70 of 103

Well. I said there was a profit to be made and if
24.7% over seven days aint enough, then I'm going to be looking for the next downturn and take it all over again. BUT you have to follow the strategy BUY TO KEEP 100/- and then gamble happily with a further 50/-, just to make sure you pay for the coffee and cakes !!

daniellamburn - 12 Oct 2004 11:35 - 71 of 103

Mate of mine heard something about this ones short term future was dependant upon the American election. Apparently investors state side are waiting the 3 weeks to see how it goes. May well see this one rocket shortly after.
What does anyone think about this, can't deside whether the investment is a formality or not.. I'm still waiting to buy, hopeing there is a dip before it goes through roof.

skyhigh - 12 Oct 2004 12:06 - 72 of 103

I heard that Zi success for 2005 was dependant upon US sales but not that it would be hanging on the outcome of the election. Do you have any more info. on what impact the outcome of the election has on the Zi and why it would rocket ?

daniellamburn - 12 Oct 2004 12:27 - 73 of 103

don't know too much... Just that there is very little investment happening before the ellection outcome. Was hoping someone could maybe explain it all a bit better. Sorry

willfagg - 22 Oct 2004 09:54 - 74 of 103

hilldee, you seem to know about this one. Do you know why the price has droppeed back recently?

willfagg - 22 Oct 2004 15:28 - 75 of 103

down another smidge today....thouht this looked a flyer ...anyone know anything?any notes in IC or Shares Mag today.they dont sell themin HK airport

willfagg - 24 Oct 2004 11:34 - 76 of 103

Interesting to note ZIM down 20% since 11 Oct, which is the date the deal with Braun was announced.ZIM to develop product nad be exclusively marketed by Braun.Braun are a huge player so cant see why that would be a turn off. However its heading downstill! Its a puzzle.

skyhigh - 24 Oct 2004 13:17 - 77 of 103

Willfag - agree it's disappointing to see this go down after the announcement of the Braun deal. There was nothing in the IC or shares mag on Zim.

I think mms & everyone wants to see evidence of good sales coming through that's going to provide revenue. Zim really does need to get turnover going up asap.
I reckon we could see more Zim announcements to support this in the next month or so. If we do get good news the shares will rocket. (imh) good luck.. :)

willfagg - 25 Oct 2004 09:44 - 78 of 103

thanks for comment skyhigh,it looked as if the movement was as a result of the Braun deal not being well received. However I would have thought being involved with a comapny of Braun's stature and their undoubted marketing routes for a small company like Zim was great news.As you say we will have to wait for news.

hilldee - 29 Oct 2004 16:03 - 79 of 103

Dont watch the news alone, watch the price as well. Time is coming to make some more money.

avalon - 03 Nov 2004 09:09 - 80 of 103

Hilldee,

Maybe that time has come, somethings happening with ZIM, last buy was at 9p up 1.5p on the open and the first trade shows a sell at 8p which must have been a buy. Do you think this could be MM games or a signal of news?

willfagg - 03 Nov 2004 10:45 - 81 of 103

Why would a share price move with no news and three small transactions? Is ti just going to reverse back down shortly?Strange
