Envesta Telecom (EVS)

paulbrooks71 - 19 Jan 2005 12:17

Have a look at todays news threads for EVS, great first half results, important acquisition announced, more exciting news promised in February. Up 25% so far today.

ehall: Sounds like caveat emptor! There is however a difference here. This company has been transformed and now has impressive management that is delivering exceptional growth and profits. Compared to its peers it's decidedly undervalued and as its recent strength will testify, it's now starting the climb that will reflect its true value.

grevis2: took your advice and had a look at the Seven Telecom website, this has only served to strengthen the strong opion i already held on EVS. One question though, with so many positive indicators and stong performance etc and today more than 4 times more buyers than sellers, why the fall in SP? Admittedly only very small, but it defies logic!

paulbrooks71: I entirely agree about the SP, it certainly seemed to defy logic. However, the on screen spread did not reflect reality. When I checked just before the close, Barclays stockbrokers were quoting a spread of 3.10p v 3.20p. I would therefore suggest that one of the MMs was out of line, but without level 2 I've no way of checking who had been the culprit. But in many ways that is of no consequence. This stock is worth more and now its pretty obvious that the market is getting behind it, which is all that really matters.

Cheers and good luck!

i will investigate this co a little more fully. if the posts here are correct wrt info, it would appear a good buy. ( no offence intended to any posters ).

btw, does the fat bald bloke still bang the EVS drum? ( watson mitchell ).

grevis2 - 09 Feb 2005 09:15 - 66 of 305

Barclays stockbrokers have just dropped the max online buy to 75K!

Keep hold of your stocks folks. The fun has only just begun!

paulbrooks71 - 10 Feb 2005 11:37 - 73 of 305

grevis2: i had a call from my broker earlier this morning offering me 4p for my evs stock, this was when the on screen bid price was only 3.7p

I'd be interested to know what you make of this.

Thanks

Paul

superrod - 10 Feb 2005 12:27 - 74 of 305

i have made a smallish buy to take me to 37500 @ 4.05p. guess what? its cheaper now.

grevis2 - 10 Feb 2005 12:34 - 75 of 305

paulbrooks71: That can only mean the broker is trying to fill a large order without going to the market. I remember it happened to a friend of mine who the broker knew had a large holding. The broker tempted him to release his stock after which it more than doubled. The omens are good me thinks!

grevis2 - 10 Feb 2005 12:36 - 76 of 305

superrod: Not by much! The latest trade has just gone through at 4.00p. The fun has only just begun, Keep smiling!

grevis2
i dont buy unless i think its a winner. have been watching the movement the last few days and cant see a reason why it shouldnt continue. ( this from a guy who bought SEO last frday for 10.05p........NOW 15p bid ) :o))))))

TheLearner - 10 Feb 2005 13:36 - 78 of 305

Do Envesta have to make any announcement to the market/stock exchange when their price rises by so much or quickly?

superrod - 10 Feb 2005 13:43 - 79 of 305

my understanding is that the price rises or falls by a certain amount a co has to release an rns. either saying they have no idea why or spilling the beans. i have no idea what that rise/fall may be, just something ive read on other tyhreads, so it might be garbage.

ehall - 10 Feb 2005 16:18 - 80 of 305

There should be an announcement soon regarding the new "mass market product" that is to be launched and results are out in the next couple of months which should be even ahead of Envesta's expectations, that is why the price is rising coupled with a relatively small market cap. As always, DYOR but the PE ratio should stil be in single figures when the results are out and they should give guidance for significantly increasing profits along with the new product. This should provide the small investor with the double whammy of increasing profits and an increasing PE justified by the profit growth, this is pretty much what happened at ASOS. I have bought in significantly, my mate has put his mortgage on the company but remember, it is still a small cap with all of the inherent risks, in my opinion, the upside on this share is significant!

grevis2 - 10 Feb 2005 16:34 - 81 of 305

Well said ehall. Spendid day. Just hope none of you were shaken out. More to come. Good luck!
