Hmmm?
I tried a little experiment withe four postings done with two using an 'ExecLine' Log In and two logged in using 'DocProc' Log In, all four windows open on my machine at the same time.
If you have two username identities on here, it would seem you have to 'Log In' (A) and 'Log Out' (A) and then 'Log In' (B) once again to make a posting with a change of your username identity.
MoneyAM does link the two usernames together and will only allow one username to be used at a time. It doesn't semm as though it is posssible to have a 'conversation' with yourself unless you log in and out and in and out, etc, etc.
I do think this is a bit 'wierd' and I don't think it is entirely satisfactory. Albeit, it will make the MoneyAM subscriber figures look great. Ah well.

Why would you want to be logged in under two users names and have a conversation with yourself anyway? Thought that was reserved was the loonies over on ADVFN.

Well, there are going to be users over here with two usernames now for sure.
Probably there always were. Probably, because users post under a nickname, rather than with a real name, it isn't preventable.
Isaacs, I don't and wouldn't want to do as you suggest and post as a loonie. Nevertheless, I do have strong curiosity and merely wanted to test things out for myself.
I do think you have to watch out for 'what and how' people post on a financial site bulletin board and do your own research into things. There are loonies on the one hand and there are crafty people with strong hidden agendas on the other.
Oh, and please 'lighten up' a bit. Your post reads a little bit like a personal attack. I don't think my stuff deserves it. It was meant to be somewhat educational as well as experimental. :-)

Sorry wasn't meant to be a personal attack and reading it again not sure it sounds like one so perhaps it is you that needs to lighten up ;-)
Anyway just couldn't see why you were so concerned about not being able to be logged in with both names. If there must be two user names (which presumably is the only way to make things work) then surely that is preferable.

Robb Its a secret formulae, not; It was a test to see if we could replicate the Bollinger Optimised Synergy System using a Price/Close indicator together with a combined Price/Volume indicator.
here is the formulae
TYP:=(HIGH+LOW+CLOSE)/3;
LL:=LLV(LOW,N);
HH:=HHV(HIGH,N);
WR:TYP+(TYP-LL);
MR:TYP+(HH-LL);
SR:2*HH-LL;
WS:TYP-(HH-TYP);
MS:TYP-(HH-LL);
SS:2*LL-HH
Looks pretty!

Isaacs & DocProc, having read both of your posts I don't think anyone had any intended malice in mind, and I read both peoples posts as interesting comments on the system that's in place.
I do think it's silly that you can't keep the same username if you could verify your existing MAM username in some way before getting your Simply Chart username.
I have an annual Sharescope sub so won't be jumping just yet. Just one question from me. I run two machines, laptop at work then desktop at home. Sharescope will now allow you to have one copy on each machine as long as one is just a backup of the other. Could I do this with Simply Chart?

I have been beta testing SimplyChart for weeks now, and the quality of the price data was one of the things I monitored closely. and I think you will find that the information stream fom Comstock and LSE is pretty reliable.
Regarding the number of items on Sharescope, which I also have.... large does not always mean better. I am a keen warrant trader and much of their list is useless and out of date by as much as 4 years ... these should be weeded out! and a lot of the information is duplicated, especially on the indices.
However, this is the first release, so to speak, and if MAM waited til it was perfect it would never have been launched!
So constructive emails to Moneyam I'm sure would be appreciated, they already have my wish list of things that I would like to see added and improved!! So if there is anything in particular you would like to see in there, do let them know!
A real bonus with SimplyChart is that you only have to hit the button at the top to get the live price and the up-to-date news which is simply not available on Sharescope end of day. News is completely unimportant to me, but important to some, and Sharescope's news updates are erratic..... but the live price is very important to me...

Yes. The live price is a major difference and benefit. It is enough to make me want to switch from Sharescope.
The only feature I would like sometime is the ability to export data from it to my PC to use in my own software or Excel.

Juzzle,
If a username is already taken (i.e. in your case Juzzle), it cannot then be used as a simply chart username. This is due to the 2 being seperate products.
However, on this occasion if you decide to upgrade, please E mail me and I will manually change things at this end and set the new payments for you.

Cannot update at all. when I installed, it took my email addresss as the user name (automatically) but it does not seem to like it now. I have tried changing the password in Help>Login details to no avail. Do I have to uninstall and start again?

rpaco,
When you download it, it takes your e mail address for our records, this is not a username for the product. To be able to update the product, you need to be a subscriber.

I've found that the looking at the normal charts icon on Money Am a bit slow today. Is there a reason for this?
