Why should millions of people come to the UK ?

Jimb. I said 600k+ migrants welcomed into UK last year. Hays says 5k+ were refugees from syria. I said UK should step up. An additional 100k refugees could be taken in. That's a total of 700k+. Where's the problem??

The problem is that the people of the UK voted for a government that had a firm grip on immigration. Most people reluctantly accept that Eastern Europeans are allowed to travel freely into the UK, but they don't like it, and they certainly don't see why so many non-EU nationals are allowed in.

I know that not all muslims are terrorists, but it's funny how all terrorists seem to be muslims!

If the immigration quotas are increased, the resentment of indigenous Brits towards immigrants of all forms will worsen, and I can say quite categorically that the EU referendum to be held in 2017 will result in the UK leaving the EU.

By the way, didn't you say a few pages ago that you're an immigrant yourself?

Part of the problem is that as can be seen from numerous polls, the public do not want the refugees to come here. You may not like that, but it looks like you are in a minority. Not only don't the public want the sort of numbers that you are talking about, but they don't want ANY.

Hilar . Yes I'm from Canada. I am talking about refugees . There were 600k + migrants last year, subtract 350 uk residents that left, to get nett migration. Not all were refugees. This has been rising over the last few years.
There are about 6 million refugees from war torn countries. Many seek refuge in Europe. The EU and UK should get off there arses and accept some of these. It wouldn't be a problem for the UK to accept 100k+ refugees. This is on top of the nett migrant numbers. So can the UK cope with 400k+ nett. Yes it can no problem.
Hays. Disagree. Our so call MPs are moving behind the public opinion labour talks about 10k + Tory 5k+ snp??. . How can UK turn a blind eye and say they are morally justified on taking 5k per year out of 4million. Bet before 12 months is out we take many many more. The alternative ..... True. Many terrorists are non Muslim. However, the current threats in Europe and the UK in particular are from Muslim terrorists. When I say current, I mean for the last few years.

This worry regarding terrorism from Muslim sources is relevant in that the refugees are in the main Muslim and from a country overrun by terrorists. In fact the majority of the refugees are fleeing the very same terrorists. The problem for us is how we distinguish between a genuine refugee from a terrorist pretending to be a refugee. The only way is to process people prior to accepting them. I know it is tough, but our big advantage is that we are an island and not party to the Schengen agreement.

in around 50 years it will be the white brits fleeing the uk for safety but no where to run too make know mistake the days of a white uk is coming to an end

No one answered my post that the child dead on the beach was the child of a man who was working in Turkey , not a man escaping a war he had already moved ,he chose to risk his kids to go to Europe .
