THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Wil,

Many would consider condemnation from the Hairy One and her mates as praise.

Again, the opinions she gathers from her mates does not seem to coincide with many I meet.

I think the public has more attractive morality than the wandering dross of society.

-=-=-=

Also, reflect back to acceptance of the Irish immigrants, West Indian, (in general the Jews) Ugandan Asians, Chinese etc.. And recognise how they integrated into society and are accepted.

There are always hot heads like the BNP, UKIP neo-fascists who pursue their own "ideology".

Overall, the UK has benefitted from immigration.

==-=-==-=-=
Hays,

Hospital outpatients appointments will vary in ethnicity according to the area which they serve.

Check the clinics list against national statistics overall.

Also, check numbers of "overseas" medical and nursing staff and auxiliaries against overall UK population.

-=

Hairy One, are you avoiding tax payments from your Uk earnings by being an itinerant?

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:18 - 62620 of 81564

Hilary I'm arguing for a human approach to helping refugees. Where did you get the mass immigration from? When your grand daughter asks you granny where were you on helping the boat people I doubt you will be proud to say you wanted them put on a leaking boat back to africa. Our chinless wonder of a pm claims the moral high ground for offering to help 20k over5 years.

Fred1new - 10 Sep 2015 11:19 - 62621 of 81564

Victim,

I guess you would be looking up to Wil10 on the moral scale.

cynic - 10 Sep 2015 11:19 - 62622 of 81564

will wrote earlier .....
Separate refugees from migrants. UK needs to take it's share of the refugees. Restrict economic migrants. The two are separate.

absolutely so, and something i have written myself on several occasions
really can't be bothered even to skim through the rest of today's ramblings and rants

===============

aldo - if you want to hold rather than trade, MBH has already proved to be a "good little worker", and of the housebuilders, i'm also a fan of BVS and TEF

VICTIM - 10 Sep 2015 11:20 - 62623 of 81564

Lardy arse my foot you know absolutely nothing about me so keep your vile views to yourself . You come onto a BB telling us to take in endless people we know nothing about , various people have told you their feelings and you still bang on and on . Take a hike .

VICTIM - 10 Sep 2015 11:22 - 62624 of 81564

Fred what's Morals got to do with it , people are making money out of people smuggling etc .

hilary - 10 Sep 2015 11:24 - 62625 of 81564

The Syrian refugees have refuge in Turkey. As soon as they leave the refugee camp and try to enter Greece, they become economic migrants. That's why Cameron (who, incidentally, is doing a very good job!) has said he will take refugees from the camps, and the camps alone.

But I do have a solution. Greece sells Lesbos to Russia. Greece's debt burden is eased. Putin gets some labour for those Siberian mines.

Simples innit? Dunno why nobody else has thought of it.

Chris Carson - 10 Sep 2015 11:25 - 62626 of 81564

will - Fine having a balanced view BUT inferring that UK kids can't get of their arses. And posters on here should get off their lardy arses, isn't going to win you many votes on how to influence people and win friends poll now is it :0)

Fred- Just Foxtrot Oscar. Now that is a balanced view.

cynic - 10 Sep 2015 11:28 - 62627 of 81564

62628 - and also, if refugees are taken directly and solely from syrian-based refugee camps, it will be much easier to determine exactly who they are and similar

Haystack - 10 Sep 2015 11:28 - 62628 of 81564

Will10

I am not opposed to doctors, nurses and other skilled immigrants. I do not want unskilled economic migrants who just want to move to a more prosperous country.

TANKER - 10 Sep 2015 11:31 - 62629 of 81564

a house builder would not be posting on here he a tosser

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:32 - 62630 of 81564

Victi . Sorry to upset you. Where did you get the endless from. Simply said UK should do its share and help refugees from war torn areas. 100k a year would be no problem for us . If you're saying your will not do anything fine I get it. I would say those that have everything could give a little to those with nothingm . Mass immigration was never voiced. Get over yourself.
And change your attitude

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:34 - 62631 of 81564

Tanke . Why?

VICTIM - 10 Sep 2015 11:35 - 62632 of 81564

SOD OFF BLOODY KNOW ALL .

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:37 - 62633 of 81564

Chris. My bad. Based on my experience accept it may not apply to all.

hilary - 10 Sep 2015 11:37 - 62634 of 81564

Given that Cameron fought an election on the basis that he would target net migration in the tens of thousand, 100k refugees a year seems pretty endless to me. :o)

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:38 - 62635 of 81564

Vicitim. Hit a nerve??

will10 - 10 Sep 2015 11:40 - 62636 of 81564

Hilary. Chinless wonder didn't live up to his election promises then. Missed by a mile I would say.

VICTIM - 10 Sep 2015 11:41 - 62637 of 81564

Quite the Man aren't we .

cynic - 10 Sep 2015 11:42 - 62638 of 81564

i think 100k refugees a year is actually too many, but why can (almost) none of you differentiate between true refugees (eg syrians) and eu-citizen chancers (by far the greatest bulk of the migrants) and similar who come over without jobs to go to, and many without any useful qualifications either?
