THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Fred are you being biased by any chance .

aldwickk - 16 Sep 2015 08:53 - 62914 of 81564

No place for Dennis Skinner , is he to left wing for J C

cynic - 16 Sep 2015 08:53 - 62915 of 81564

yes, i'm afraid her latter days were far from her greatest
however, whatever fred and his comrades may say, had it not been for her and her early strength in taking on the militant unions and similar, the country would now possibly or even probably be a very horrid place indeed

Perhaps Corbyn like me doesn't know the "anthem" or again like me when others hear me sing, ask me to be quiet.

Or, like me doesn't care a damn about the queen, false patriotism or false iconism!

Old boy's club hypocrisy!

Fred1new - 16 Sep 2015 08:54 - 62917 of 81564

MaxK - 16 Sep 2015 08:56 - 62918 of 81564

At least the Maggon could string a sentence together, unlike Call Me, who cant get by without a written script to tell him what to say.

jimmy b - 16 Sep 2015 08:59 - 62919 of 81564

I still dream about Maggie ..

cynic - 16 Sep 2015 09:00 - 62920 of 81564

no fred, that is nonsense

jc has an obligation as a high-profile public servant to show proper respect to and for those whom he purports to represent - ie the country and not just his communist pals

do you really think his disgraceful lack of manners will do other than alienate many who might have been tempted to support labour?

VICTIM - 16 Sep 2015 09:15 - 62921 of 81564

Fred you are disappointing me really , you just say anything against whatever comes up , for an intelligent man it's very poor . And also your biased too .

jimmy b - 16 Sep 2015 09:17 - 62922 of 81564

What do you expect from Fred ? he would support that kind of behaviour ,he has a strong view and f..k you your wrong .

MaxK - 16 Sep 2015 09:38 - 62923 of 81564

Corbyn is doing a great job, he is exceeding in alienating the average bod.

Cameroon must be ecstatic, a result beyond his wildest dreams.

ExecLine - 16 Sep 2015 09:53 - 62924 of 81564

Funny how JC, when choosing to so scruffily attend a commemoration service like this, is pretty much like Fred, ie. arrogant and insular and with a lot of intransigence thrown into the mix for good measure.

One should be easily able to 'look up' to one's leaders. They should be seen as 'the best of the bunch'.

Corbyn can't even manage to fasten his top shirt button and neatly fasten his tie. Neither can he match his suit jacket to his suit pants.

He behaves like an unsuitable advert. Sometimes we really don't like what we see. This is probably because there is usually a better way of showing it.

I have PM's QT on 'record'. It should be interesting.

TANKER - 16 Sep 2015 10:08 - 62926 of 81564

TANKER - 16 Sep 2015 10:11 - 62928 of 81564

I VERY MUCH DOUBT ANY ONE ON HERE WILL WANT TO SPEAK ABOUT THE CRISES COURSED
BY GERMAN TELLING ALL TO COME NOW BACK TRACKING . THE EU WILL BE THE NEW MUSLIM STATE ,

TANKER - 16 Sep 2015 10:17 - 62929 of 81564

the growing population of the world from just over 1.5b to over 7b over the last 120 years is killing the planet the oceans are being killed . why are the powers not controlling this issue .

stop all family allowances to start with . and all help to families of more than 1 child

Haystack - 16 Sep 2015 10:18 - 62930 of 81564

Corbyn seems to lack common sense. The singing of the National Anthem is a symbol which he has disrespected. It doesn't matter that he is a republican. Even one of his shadow cabinet said it was a mistake and she would have sung it. He has compounded the stupidity by then making up a lie about it. Trying to say that he was standing in respectful silence is a cop out and lie. He would have got more points to tell the truth that he finds singing the NA is against his beliefs.

cynic - 16 Sep 2015 10:18 - 62931 of 81564

because MrT, i suspect most syrians with very good reason hate assad and his oppressive regime, and love isis even less ...... so who do you fight for?

=============

with regards to hungary (please note!), the regime there is seriously right wing and frightening, but yes, i too applaud them for taking the lead in shutting their borders

germany's stupiditywas obvious from the outset to all sensible outsiders ...... the long-term consequences will take perhaps a decade to realise

required field - 16 Sep 2015 10:27 - 62932 of 81564

It's plain to see that this open borders rule in the EU is crazy......not only with the migrant crisis...but what about drug smuggling and all the other wrong-doings that go on.....bonkers now, you go from one country to the other...no customs ...nothing...
