THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Corbyn is doing a great job, he is exceeding in alienating the average bod.

Cameroon must be ecstatic, a result beyond his wildest dreams.

Funny how JC, when choosing to so scruffily attend a commemoration service like this, is pretty much like Fred, ie. arrogant and insular and with a lot of intransigence thrown into the mix for good measure.

One should be easily able to 'look up' to one's leaders. They should be seen as 'the best of the bunch'.

Corbyn can't even manage to fasten his top shirt button and neatly fasten his tie. Neither can he match his suit jacket to his suit pants.

He behaves like an unsuitable advert. Sometimes we really don't like what we see. This is probably because there is usually a better way of showing it.

I have PM's QT on 'record'. It should be interesting.

Corbyn seems to lack common sense. The singing of the National Anthem is a symbol which he has disrespected. It doesn't matter that he is a republican. Even one of his shadow cabinet said it was a mistake and she would have sung it. He has compounded the stupidity by then making up a lie about it. Trying to say that he was standing in respectful silence is a cop out and lie. He would have got more points to tell the truth that he finds singing the NA is against his beliefs.

cynic - 16 Sep 2015 10:18 - 62931 of 81564

because MrT, i suspect most syrians with very good reason hate assad and his oppressive regime, and love isis even less ...... so who do you fight for?

=============

with regards to hungary (please note!), the regime there is seriously right wing and frightening, but yes, i too applaud them for taking the lead in shutting their borders

germany's stupiditywas obvious from the outset to all sensible outsiders ...... the long-term consequences will take perhaps a decade to realise

required field - 16 Sep 2015 10:27 - 62932 of 81564

It's plain to see that this open borders rule in the EU is crazy......not only with the migrant crisis...but what about drug smuggling and all the other wrong-doings that go on.....bonkers now, you go from one country to the other...no customs ...nothing...

VICTIM - 16 Sep 2015 10:35 - 62933 of 81564

Ah well rf it's the do gooder element like in Paris after the ISIL slaughter , look at all us leaders arm in arm together showing the baddies what for . It's also surprising from the employment side , all those security they could employ taking in extra revenue from travelers . Like the Aussies .

TANKER - 16 Sep 2015 11:01 - 62934 of 81564

cynic thank you for post , but when you stop fighting for your freedom in your own country , you have turn your back on freedom and only want others to fight for your freedom . rest assure they are just cowards leaving mothers fathers children to pay the cost of their being cowards

TANKER - 16 Sep 2015 11:08 - 62935 of 81564

cynic and it is their so called religion that is killing them a evil religion that they believe in . so it is their fault believing in a terror religion not a religion of love and honesty .
a religion of hate and murderers

Haystack - 16 Sep 2015 11:08 - 62936 of 81564

There has been an incident outside Corbyn's house this morning. One of his aides knock over a BBC cameraman. This is the second time in two days that his aides have barged camermen. The aide was heard to say, "I warned you". There is some video around recorded by Sky

Haystack - 16 Sep 2015 11:10 - 62937 of 81564

Religion does not have to be supporting of love etc. The original Christianity was a religion that had a vengeful God and was built largely on fear. It was only St Paul that reshaped it. Fourteen books out of twenty seven were written by St Paul. He massaged the religion to his ends and invented the religion that we now have.

MrT - sorry to say, but 000s of innocent syrians are being murdered not only by assad and his mob, but also of course by isis and their terrifying adherents
if you are a syrian national, for whom do you fight?

yes, i know the above is a bit simplified, but it's close enough
