We need a full house for that...what d'you reckon?

I'd like to book a seat please for the next late-night show
starring Martini and Dotel - we ought to have an admission charge for
the late night entertainment, bring in some extra dosh for GD.

SNOWIE!!!! Long time no see - how you doing???

Opto - I'm sending out positive energy vibes for more BLUE on
stockwatch (((Hummmmmmmm-Hummmmmmmmmm.....))

By the way - any of that burgundy left? Love hearty red wine!!!

I'm supposed to be getting on working today, but just can't concentrate
oh well back to my charts....

vasey - 20 May 2004 14:23 - 6315 of 23498

Just come in from hoovering my garden....big raindrops started to land. So a fresh tuna steak, marinaded in garlic, ginger and chilli, seared briefly and served with a salad of coriander, asparagus and fresh peas. Plenty left, if anybody still a little peckish. Oh, and a fresh bottle of sauvignon is inside the fridge door....

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 14:28 - 6316 of 23498

Great Vasey and thanks I'll join you if I may...Rain huh..?
Whereabouts are you again? Aren't you further north than me?
(I still have washing on the line you see, so any forewarning
of wet stuff a-falling would be useful!)
Frankly the last few days have been too warm out of the blue for
May, wonder how hot the summer will be at this rate?

vasey - 20 May 2004 14:38 - 6317 of 23498

Pull up a plate, bunny! I've just been reading the GBG thread. It caught my eye some time back and stayed on a watchlist for ages. For assorted reasons I never did buy in, and that profit warning would have caught me out too. Would a glass of sauvignon help?

little woman - 20 May 2004 14:44 - 6318 of 23498

Afternoon all,

you two seem to be having fun - sauvignon sounds wonderful (and everything else for that matter!)

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 14:46 - 6319 of 23498

It's not too bad - I'm somewhere close to break-even over all
with GBG, but it's a bummer as well considering how well it was doing!
Still fingers crossed the only way is UP, thankfully I did not
put much money into it at all - I don't tend to on tiny shares,
they make me nervous, so if worse comes to worse it will be disappointing
but I wont have to sell the family carrots!

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 14:47 - 6320 of 23498

I'm going out the back for a cyber-ciggie so you two chat
amongst yourselves for a while - be back shortly....

vasey - 20 May 2004 14:50 - 6321 of 23498

I adopt a similar strategy myself. I'm holding 5k shares on CASH which are 'temporarily' suspended......(not as bad as it first sounds, but 'suspended' is not a word to fill you with delight on first reading, is it?) That holding is/was showing a 2.5k profit and next week will reveal which tense I should be applying to that statement!

LW, pull up a glass and join us...!

little woman - 20 May 2004 14:54 - 6322 of 23498

thanks, love to

my car is covered in sticky stuff shed from a tree! I know I should wash it, but I've been told its not good for a car to be washed in sunshine - so I'm trying to ignore it!

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 15:05 - 6323 of 23498

Don't know CASH (cardpoint) but hope they turn in a good return for you
Vasey - CASH is an interesting epic isn't it (LOL)

Little Woman - isn't it to do with the soap drying on or something
and that's why they say don't wash it in sunshine? I don't own a car
anymore so don't have those hassles now!

MightyMicro - 20 May 2004 15:45 - 6324 of 23498

vasey: A naughty mid-afternoon glass of sauvignon, yes please!

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 15:49 - 6325 of 23498

The wine we can promise but the naughty..who knows....
How goes it then today MM???

vasey - 20 May 2004 15:52 - 6326 of 23498

Hello there, MM!! You gave some great ripostes to that boring bloke bleating about the annual accounts this morning. For that alone, you can snuggle down with the girlies and share the (second) bottle of sauvignon. Straw or a mug?

Kayak - 20 May 2004 15:54 - 6327 of 23498

You're just trying to use him to get to Richard Branson :-)

stockbunny - 20 May 2004 16:04 - 6328 of 23498

sees 'ya-all' maybe tomorrow - the market is just too boringly RED
for me today (I lack the staying power to get through to 5pm!)
Have a great evening if you're doing anything special...bye....

vasey - 20 May 2004 16:05 - 6329 of 23498

The Grinning Sweater? No. Does nothing for me. But I bet MM has all sorts of other phone numbers I could tickle out of him.....

jj50 - 20 May 2004 16:37 - 6330 of 23498

Stockbunny/Vasey, I have both CASH and GBG - doesn't say much for my judgement - eternal optomist/total idiot?? Also not very big holdings and both above break even... but still. GBG did look so healthy at one point.... In fact, I don't really approve of CASH when I think of it, as they are those beasts that charge you up to 1.75 when you use one of their cashpoint machines and as they have just bought a whole lot more of them ........

Oh, well time for something nice and refreshing as it has been a long day - a bit early in the day but a glass of that Sauvignon would go down a treat! Cheers.
