Provexis Buy at 3.25p - Target 8p (PXS)

peeyam - 08 May 2007 11:30

LONDON (AFX) - Provexis PLC said it has entered into a long-term collaboration agreement with Unilever PLC to jointly develop a new concentrated format of its patented Fruitflow heart-health technology for application in Unilever's food product portfolio.

Financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

The partners plan to enter into a global licence arrangement for the technology.

Fruitflow is a patented natural extract from tomato which Provexis said has been shown in human trials to reduce the propensity for aberrant blood clotting that is typically associated with cardiovascular disease and which can lead to heart attack or stroke.

In 2005 the market for heart benefit foods was worth 4 bln usd globally, Provexis added.

Considering the growth potential this share has a target of about 8-10p in the medium tern and is a good buy at current levels

As usual, pls do ur own research.

if the trades shown on MAM have even a semblance of accuracy, it is amazing to see that sells barely outnumbered buys ..... that could make life interesting tomorrow, but shall have to wait for the next exciting episode

Global Nomad - 23 Sep 2009 17:11 - 636 of 1204

well it's certainly enlivened the board here....

MP, you do talk crap, of course they need the money. They've been a mickey mouse company with a SP of sub 1p and stuff all income. Whatever they may have, they need to market and that takes cash. The recent rise has been based on a bit of news, ramping on every financial web site and herd mentality. If they can get a fund raising away at 3p, they've done well; which of course will dilute exsisting shareholders by another 150m shares or nearly 20%. At least once a year, one of these companys comes around (BPRG, SEO, DVS etc, etc). The investors who were lucky enough to get in at the bottom post endlessy about long term investments and watch as 10, 20 bagger profits disappear because it's going to become a 100, 1000, whatever number you can think of make me a millionaire bagger.

Hope I'm proven wrong and it makes you all loads, but it probably will not for a while. Those who jumped on the bandwagon late, won't be able to get off quick enough when the placing price is announced.

like me you mean Peter!
i actually marked up my papers last night to sell a large slab of my holding, but of course when sp started strongly again this morning, i held off - and quite rightly suffered the consequences!

Global Nomad - 23 Sep 2009 17:19 - 639 of 1204

never did understand the mickey mouse analogy or how it arose......disney after all is pretty substantial...

cynic - 23 Sep 2009 17:25 - 640 of 1204

GN - let the numbers etc do the talking on friday .... am i correct in thinking there is meant to be something happening then?

Global Nomad - 23 Sep 2009 17:28 - 641 of 1204

cynic? not sure what you are refering too...unless someone slipped you some insight.....

halifax - 23 Sep 2009 17:30 - 642 of 1204

Well it may be a mickey mouse company but it still has a market cap of 67m......at least for tonight.

cynic - 23 Sep 2009 17:38 - 643 of 1204

sorry .... obviously misread some post on here

kimoldfield - 23 Sep 2009 17:42 - 644 of 1204

Friday is going to be, um....well, Friday I suppose cynic (unless Gordon Brown messes with it!)

Balerboy - 23 Sep 2009 17:53 - 645 of 1204

ptholden has spoken..... greed is a funny thing, said i'd never get in a share like SEO again.... look whats happened....

moneyplus - 23 Sep 2009 18:19 - 646 of 1204

chakli-thanks. Well I certainly couldn't jump on the bandwagon with selftrade tonight--though working perfectly at 16.33pm! I might be talking crap but we'll see! I take it you're not in PTH.

kimoldfield - 23 Sep 2009 18:28 - 647 of 1204

SEO will make you rich one day Bb. I hope you haven't sold. :o)

It is incredible to see the change in the tone of voices here since this morning : they say a week is a long time in politics but a day is even longer on the stockmarket !.....the sp will probably drop further tomorrow morning....this is only good for trading in and out at the moment, perhaps in the months ahead PXS will come out with some contracts with glaxo and sorts because for an aspirin replacement they will need a big company to help them along the line...at the moment all this is in the air...EC and all the rest means nothing at the moment....market cap of 75 million,,,this is crazy when nothing is certain : let's see some evidence of somebody taking a tomato based aspirin (at the same cost base) or less and it being effective, and even then it has to go to production...years away..plus american authorisation........no at the moment "in and out" is the only way to go.

kimoldfield - 23 Sep 2009 18:42 - 649 of 1204

"in and out" is the only way to go.

That's what I keep telling my wife. ;o)

kimoldfield - 23 Sep 2009 18:43 - 650 of 1204

On a more serious note, the potential that PXS had before today's RNS was what a lot of people were buying on. That is still there.

required field - 23 Sep 2009 18:55 - 651 of 1204

It's not worth 75 million pounds...does this company own any property ?...what about staff...pensions....this is nuts.

dealerdear - 23 Sep 2009 19:39 - 652 of 1204

its worth whatever the sp says its worth. I originally thought the placing would be between 6-8p but as the sp has fallen more, it suggests it may be as low as 4p.

ptholden - 23 Sep 2009 19:53 - 653 of 1204

MP - No offence intended :-) Nope, out of the UK and not trading but have been watching with interest.

Kim - SEO also had (has?) potential, which was also what people were buying on, many forgot to take profits and ended up with losses (me included). Long list of other AIM outfits can also be added to that list, AZM had blockbusting drugs at Phase 3 and still went bust.

Anyway, good luck to all, even that idiot Tabasco.
