Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).
Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.
cheers GF.

i don't do DIY, because i don't enjoy it, i'm crap and i'ld much rather pay a professional
i don't wash my car, because i'ld rather keep someone in employ while i'm playing golf or at the office
i'ld rather spend my money on a bit of luxury and fine dining when on holiday rather than seeing how cheaply i can do it, having flown with a rubbish airline, stayed half-board at a relatively crummy hotel, and been obliged to eat that hotel's sub-standard cooking

"while i'm playing golf or at the office" for the uninitiated what he really means is.. while i'm playing golf while supposedly working.

The referendum is a long ng way off. The immigrant crisis will be forgotten by then. It leaves plenty of time for the Yes vote to make people frightened of leaving. All you have in current polls is a snapshot of current opinions. I might well vote to come out, but I believe the country will vote to stay in.

It was Mark Twain that said golf was a good walk spoiled.

Churchill did say,
“Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into an even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose.”
and
"Like chasing a quinine pill around a cow pasture".
Churchill did play golf for a time.

My favourite Churchill quote is when a woman said to him at a party ,
"sir you are drunk"
to which he replied
"madam your ugly but in the morning i shall be sober"

I have noticed some people taking their own bags to the supermarket since the 5p charge was introduced yesterday. Bag usage is around 140 bags a year for each person. That seems to be very low. I shop 7 days a week and normally get 3 bags. That means I use around 1,000 bags a year. There were plenty of people in Sainsbury's just now including me still getting their usual bags.

Good for you Hays.
Stand up for your rights.

Why does it take some people so long to learn to play golf.

plastic bags
i'm delighted that there is now a charge for them and the only pity is that it did not come in years ago

I am glad you agree with me over plastic bags.
Mind I do wonder if I could persuade Hays to use one appropriately.
