Hils ;-)
Well, I can't have been using the Concorde method, cause I went long twice this morning before the drops, have lost a bit.........
Now long again Rodney.

The thing is, Choccy, if you look at the oscillators on the daily charts, 1.76 appears to be a distinct possibility.

Oh dear. The prospects for cable look pretty dire now. I can see a downward slopey channel wotsit on my hourlies, but the bottom line of it extends off my screen so I can't tell where it is. Somewhere around 1.8450 at a guess.
edit: More like 1.8350.

That sounds scary. So glad I've sat today out.
Just hope Mervyn can cheer cable up tonight

just taken a quick look, and it looks like the site they are taken from is down, which is why they are not showing.

Have we seen a bottom?
Just took this a few moments ago of my 5mins chart. Cable at some sort of support at this level but the macd is showing bullish divergence and may be a sign that we're ready for an upwards movement.
Any thoughts out there??

Given the major turn in sentiment over the last week, Bak, I'll certainly wait for some clearer signals before venturing long just yet. I'd say the 6 month up-leg from April may well have come to an end with that break down today.

Hils, thanks for your thoughts. I'll wait for a better risk/reward.

Bak,
When it broke that rising line at the end of last month, I remember thinking to myself that it looked a bit bearish, but I've struggled to adapt my mindset ever since. I was surprised when it sold off last week but, looking at that chart, I shouldn't have been. I'm cross with myself - mainly for refusing to accept what I could see in the chart.
It'll rally, but imo you'll be better off looking for a firmer signal because the world, his wife and their pet poodle are going to be looking to sell into the rallies now.

And to rub salt into the wound, I know somebody who was selling it by the shedload last week. Guess who that was.

Thanks once again Hils.
My main problem is that I'm thinking too short term which is a recipe for disaster in the long run.
Gonna have to look at the longer term charts and start drawing lines all over the place.
