Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

I wonder if anyone reads Execlines posts , can't say i do myself any way it's just chit chat , anything serious we can go anywhere online at any time don't you know . It can be a bit of light relief . When i first started watching all i remember was endless Goldfinger verses the rest and endless Tanker every day stirring it .

Yes lets hope that there are enough, who not only like her but can see
the FN policies are the best for Frances future, and that needs for the
French voters to vote for the FN in the second round..

Labour MPs renew calls for Diane Abbott to resign after she misses crucial Article 50 vote with 'migraine'
Diane Abbott should resign if she is unable to be "part of the team" and support Jeremy Corbyn over Brexit, one of the party's MPs has claimed.
Caroline Flint, a centrist Labour backbencher, mocked the Shadow Home Secretary for having "Brexit flu" after Ms Abbott missed last week’s crucial Article 50 vote in Parliament having gone home early and saying she had a migraine
Ms Flint told ITV’s Peston on Sunday: “We used to have man flu, we now have Brexit flu that Diane has created.”
The former Shadow Energy and Climate Change Secretary said Ms Abbott should resign if she is unable to support Jeremy Corbyn on Brexit.
“It’s about being part of a team and I think [Ms Abbott] holds one of the most important portfolios within a shadow cabinet [or] cabinet”, she said.
“If she can’t support the leader on this then she should go.”

Germany's Merkel Meeting With State Officials To Step Up Deportations
Thu, 9th Feb 2017 10:52
BERLIN (Alliance News) - German Chancellor Angela Merkel is meeting with the leaders of the country's 16 federal states on Thursday to discuss a plan to speed up the deportation of failed asylum seekers.
Asylum requests and deportations are handled at the regional level. But Merkel, who is running for a fourth term in office in September, is pushing for a more centralized effort to make sure that those who do not qualify leave the country.
Merkel and the state premiers are consulting on a 16-point plan that includes the creation of so-called "exit centres" near airports to facilitate deportations and incentives for failed asylum seekers willing to return home voluntarily.
The deadly truck attack in Berlin in December and the bomb attack in Ansbach in July - both claimed by the Islamic State terrorist group - were carried out by people whose asylum requests had been denied and had not yet been deported.

Immediately after the Commons passed the Bill – unamended – a Government source threatened: “The Lords will face an overwhelming public call to be abolished if they now try and frustrate this Bill.”

There is no timetabling allowed in the Lords. They can apply as many amendments as they wish and take as long as they want. Even one successful amendment will see Brexit back to the Commons and then round it goes again. It's called ping-ponging. Then it could be a year wait for the Parliament Act, a few hundred new Lords which would take quite a time or a GE

Just scaremongering Hays. The leader of Labour in the Lords has already said that Labour will not block Brexit. But newspapers have to sell news. Trump is right about the press. Read the same news reported by the Guardian and the Telegraph, or the Mirror and Mail, and you will see how differently they spin what they present to their readers. Fact is that we all want to read news that agree with our own views or prejudices and editors know that. So they please their readers.

The Libs may well block. There is a big crossbench group of around 200. I am hoping for a blockage as it will probably produce an election. Look at the result for 1931 to see what may happen.
