rather than pick out individual stocks to trade, it can often be worthwhile to trade the indices themselves, especially in times of high volatility.

for those so inclined, i attach below charts for FTSE and FTSE 250, though one might equally be tempted to trade Dow or S&P, which is significantly broader in its coverage, or even NASDAQ

Not expecting much support from the Asian markets (massive selling going on now) so a bloodbath on the FTSE at opening seems quite likely.

Looks like cmc were showing UKX @4720 in the early hours!

-132 at the open of FTSE? Not too bad considering DOW performance. Down 1.5% - 2.5% in the Far East. We shall see.
