Bioprogress (BPRG)

scorpion - 13 Aug 2003 13:54

Bioprogress is a stock I have been in and out of quite a few times since it floated in May but not much mention here on the Investors' Room. Does anyone else follow this stock. I see it is up 1.5p today and a few good buyers seem to have appeared.

I think like many of the small caps these are caught up in side ways movement of the FTse Allshares since February (I know it has be rising and falling in that period) There is also a generally a more bearish sentiment over the last month or two, couple with interest in oil prices and pressures, Wimb, footsie and Cricket punters have playing it more carfully. I think this is probably why BPRG which was ramped previously is caching in the kneck.

It is said in the last year of a presidential election the market goes up, I wonder if it will this time.

But I bet if Bush and Blair loose in their next elections then they will after a slight delay. Unfortunately, I think Bliar may con the public once again.

I think I am going to put these shares in my bottom draw for a while. Did that with a tranche of TFC, AMT, RTD and Staffware, very lucky.

I didn't actually realise until today how little BPRG's mkt cap was. I currently have <70m - is that correct?

They really aren't that big an outfit are they? Certainly wouldn't be on the radar screens of many big companies or institutions now.

Aerotus - stop talking crap.

What evidence is there of any institutions "mopping up" ?

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 08:48 - 642 of 2372

This is not the popular thread it once was.

Hope it's because most have cut their losses and are sat watching.

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 08:49 - 643 of 2372

Dil - none I can b****y see!

;-)

I reckon he's a reincarnation of nematode.

toad44 - 08 Jul 2004 13:09 - 645 of 2372

I have learnt from Shares magazine that Stanelco (SEO) are engaged in an ongoing court battle with Bioprogress over patent ownership. This may explain why the share price is in freefall. Anyone have a view?

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 13:16 - 646 of 2372

toad44 - apparently it is today.

Aerotus - 08 Jul 2004 13:18 - 647 of 2372

Am I dreaming? BPRG is blue. Nobody pinch me. Thanks.

Dil - 08 Jul 2004 14:20 - 648 of 2372

Much better class of rampers on here Al :-)

Hotei - 08 Jul 2004 14:32 - 649 of 2372

certainly more polite than on the other place

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 14:37 - 650 of 2372

This one's boring the backside off me.

Much more sensible bunch of bailers obviously. ;-))

Aerotus - 08 Jul 2004 15:09 - 651 of 2372

62p now. +9.2%! Shorters must be closing. Something is brewing!!

Dil - 08 Jul 2004 15:17 - 652 of 2372

Are we back to where we started the week yet ?

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 15:26 - 653 of 2372

Aerotus - it's only back to where it was on Tuesday. Bit early to be waving the bloody flags isn't it?

Dil - see above. ;-) Friday's close was 63.5p and Monday's was 64p so a wee bit of work to do yet IMO. Of course, if we go back another week we find ourselves at 69p and that might prove a lovely level at which to open a short.

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 15:31 - 654 of 2372

I see a pattern here. Big volume down days followed by big volume up days and then fade away. Got it's so repetetive.

Do directors often sell loads just before good news is announced ?

Maybe the brokers note due this week (as it has been every week for the last 3 months) has a 10p price target.

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 16:51 - 656 of 2372

Bloody optimist! ;-)

Fred1new - 08 Jul 2004 16:54 - 657 of 2372

I will buy some off you at 10p

Big Al - 08 Jul 2004 17:01 - 658 of 2372

LOL Fred.
