This ones a heck of a specualive investment but it seems that the institutions are willing to stomp up the cash to back it in the long term.
Heres the latest news from Killik stocbrokers on the company..........
MEDICAL MARKETING Joint Venture
We recently highlighted Medical Marketing (MMG) as worthy of attention. The company, in which I have a personal share holding, has this morning announced the formation of a joint venture, Genvax, to develop a novel DNA vaccine platform technology.
Human trials have been underway since 2001 in areas such as Lymphoma and Myeloma but the technology has broad applications in cancer, viral and bacterial infections (hence the term platform). The technology works on boosting the immune system by teaching it to identify hard to recognise cancer proteins as foreign and destroy them. Early results from the 25 patient trial in lymphoma are encouraging and evaluation of the result is expected by March 2005. Successful results should mean big pharmaceutical groups will start to take financial and commercial interests around that time.
This looks to be the first of a series of announcements due from Medical Marketing as it has a range of predominantly cancer trials moving into the clinical stage. (news flow could push the price higher)
The stock has made good progress in recent sessions up to the mid-80p level where the company is valued at just under 40 million. ENDS.
Please DYOR
cheers GF.

Sold off a few tranches just to be on the safe side and lock in profits. I feel very uncoumfourtable with all these speculators in.

So if the results do go our way, are we gonna see another big rise or has it already been priced-in by the speculation?

Exactly what I have been thinking. Thats why I have locked some profits in, and lets face it the market in general is poor at the moment.

Theres a lot of speculation built in but you have to take heart from the institutional buying. If you bought in the 10-40p range then you would be right not to take some profit at these levels.

Whats going on is the test that the Market performs every now and then on the small punter with these speculative stocks.
I fully expected this to happen today after the early part of the week rises and the rapid rise last week.
Goldfinger has shown that he is a very disciplined trader, by taking some profit, and that was a very wise thing to do imo.
Whilst all points to a great result tomorrow, no one can know for sure if that will be so.
It is adviseable to watch volumes today especially late on, as any people who have a little knowledge will either buy or sell at that point.

SWs spot on here, keep an eye on the sells volume in paticular this afternoon.
What we have had is a general build up in volume over the last what 7 days or more.
Its my beleif these are short term speculators in for a quick 'smash and grab' and they may go for it to be on the safe side before trial results are published. Remember this one is a high beta stock any big increase in selling will be met by a large price fall. I cant really see that many buying so late in the day now before results so I dont think buys will balance the sells out.
I could be totaly wrong and have played this wrongly, but Ive taken the safe option and banked profits.
Im hoping the results will be good and then when they are out in the open I can take a look at my next step. For sure Im going to be in these long term, Im just hedging my bets.
cheers GF.
