Will this increase or decrease the likelihood of terrorist actions in America, Europe and the rest of the world?
If you were a member of a family murdered in this conflict, would you be seeking revenge?
Should Tzipi Livni and Ehud Olmert, be tried for war crimes if or when this conflict comes to an end?

Stan,
Because of the antics of the tory right-winged Euro-septics, the UK's opinion counts for less and less in Europe and the World in general.
As the many UKIP, BNP, Tory right wingers and other birds of a feather consider themselves outside Europe, it will be seen to count for less and less.

That is clearly not the case as most of the EU countries are desperate to keep the UK in Europe. The UK's position on the EU budget is now proving quite popular with more countries adopting a similar line. There are an increasing number of countries becoming eurosceptic. I think the Conservatives have it about right.

And I thought you were improving in your old age.
================
I didn't pick up your said "enthusiasm" for the UK or the present tory policies in France. Mind the Scots and when they knew my nationality improved on the general ratings.

Suggest you read Andrew Rawnsley’s comments which seem balanced and pertinent :

Reading (with difficulties) some French paper’s they didn’t seem to rate the UK led by the present government very highly either.

What odds are you offering on the Cons loosing the next election?.

much too early to know ..... a week in politics is a long time, let alone 2 years ..... trying to be objective, i really cannot get enthusiastic over milliband, and of course clegg is a joke .... whether or not cameron is good at the job is a personal opinion, but certainly thatcher did a wonderful job until towards the end, but there were plenty who decried her too

That will teach them
LOL
A number of orthodox Israeli members of Knesset (MK) stated that they will be burning a Palestinian flag in front of the United Nations office in occupied Jerusalem, in protest to UN’s approval of Palestine as a non-member state

for sure that was the right, and ultimately obvious result ...... it'll be interesting to see what's in the detail, and no doubt you will tell us all ...... however, i trust you won't start promoting the idea that israel will be dismantled or anything even approaching that

A number of countries that said they would vote against are now backtracking and intending to abstain. The most important of these is Germany, which is normally a strong supporter of Israel. The US is now becoming concerned that a no vote puts them at odds with the Arab world . Perhaps they don't want to be on the wrong side of history.

A couple days ago nearly half of the European countries were expected to vote against the UN resolution. It now seems likely that no EU country will vote against. An Israeli official said, "we lost Europe".

Germany abstaining at UN because Israel wouldn't budge on settlements'
Senior official says Germany has been trying to help Israel on the Palestinian issue for a long time but Israel has not taken the necessary steps to advance the peace process; Italy also announces that it will support Palestinians at the UN.
The German decision not to oppose the Palestinian bid for non-member observer state status, and to abstain in the vote at the United Nations General Assembly this evening has shocked the top brass at the Foreign Ministry and the Prime Minister's office.

probably best to see what the vote actually brings and what the wording detail is ..... that will no doubt give a clue as why certain countries voted as they did ..... one of the items to look for is the pursuit or otherwise of certain people through ICC
