Sorry stirling did not have a good game and is under immense pressure actually to score a goal. Again if we had lost he would of been heavily criticised for missing expected goals. Calls will come for Marcus Rashford to start ahead of him in the semi-final, and it is for Gareth Southgate to decide whether Rashford’s ability to finish chances is worth more to the team than Sterling’s ability to create them in the first place.

Stirling does lack that killer finish , and doesn't look at all confident in himself , towards the end he looked like he didn't want the ball , it's the World Cup and you may never get another chance like this so get someone that is full of himself and desperately wants it .
