I closed all my longs for 9620 took a bit of a beating but I dont know where this market is going - my gut feel is an early bounce then flat to lower.

However I really dont know thats why Im sitting on cash and my hands. wont be opening anything till about 6pm tonight

Chadbukl good thinking. My longs are showing in credit and i am tempted to hold them for a while longer-will let u know what happens.


Market Status (11/18/2003) :
Today the NASDAQ 100 and S&P 500 indexes moved lower despite yesterday's supportive volume. Today's decline may be due to continued fears over terrorist attacks stemming from Monday's terrorist attacks in Turkey and Iraq, which spooked investors. As the market opened, it encountered some resistive volume to the upside, which helped move the market lower throughout the rest of the morning. By 12:00 there was a moderately large supportive VMA spike to the downside that caused the market to temporarily stop its decline, but more resistive volume at 13:15 helped move the market lower again. Throughout the rest of the afternoon the market continued its decline, but in doing so, it generated a large amount of supportive volume to the downside. This supportive volume was split into three major peaks occurring at 14:10, 15:00 and at the end of the day. Overall, we believe that the market could begin to move higher in the mid-term because the market didn't react to today's large amount of supportive volume to the downside by producing an end-of-day rally. In the short-term the market may continue to be volatile due to the upcoming options expiration.

Ym auction opens in 17mins the trin is at 1.63 at present.

9633 / 9648 at 10/pt. closed the 2 longs of in credit at 9658 = 35pts x10=350 profit. Just watching the screen to take shorts now.

Looks like I was a bit premature - however still made the right decission as I felt there was more downside than upside and did not think I would have access to a pc today- better to choose the level of your losses than take a magor hit

just found out if you change the symbol to INX and time to 1 you get the s&p 500 real time good aint it :-)

i think every one was expecting it to go south just look at it still climbing up if you had gone short OUCH dont want to think about that is why we all have to have respect for it :-)

closed the daily dow short open 9660 closed 9640 = 20pts x20 =400 gain plus 350 from the longs b 4 =750 so far.

how are your trades progressing today.?

Ps:you are as clever as them if not better -if u dont understand just ask its no harm as we are all here to pool our knowledge and learn/help each other and hopefully from past experience say what pifalls to watch out for.

market seems to be bounding fwd now.
watch the 9700-9710 area ist point of resistance -good place for a short if it gets there and cant violate it.

I've decided to play the 'system' until the bitter end.
So im out if it goes above 9758.

I am aswell mega - just opened a short before opening at 9685 at 320/pt.
would be happy if it went to 9675 and get out + call it night
