Galleon Holdings plc
('Galleon' or the 'Company')
Galleon Announces Major US Broadcast Deal for Skunk fu!
Further to a string of recently announced sales of Skunk fu! into key European
territories including France, Denmark and Italy, Galleon is delighted to
announce that the show has been sold into national United States broadcast on
Kids' WB! -the top-rated Saturday morning kids broadcast network in the United
States.
Galleon owns 15% of the IP of Skunk fu! and controls the worldwide licensing and
merchandising rights for the property (excluding Germany). Skunk fu!, which
comprises 52 episodes of animated comedy action for kids aged 6-12 years, is
expected to air on Kids' WB! from Saturday, 22 September 2007 at 9am.
The significant forthcoming exposure that this will generate for Skunk fu! in
the US will present Galleon with new licensing and merchandising opportunities
in the territory.
Stephen Green, Chief Executive of Galleon, said,
'9am Saturday morning is in the prime time entertainment window for 6-12 year
olds. Very few shows get placement in so many of the key territories around the
world. Broadcast and exposure in a territory like the US will clearly enhance
the appeal of this brand with our target market which in turn greatly enhances
the value of Skunk fu! with licensees.'
Senior Vice President and General Manager of Kids' WB!, Betsy McGowen commented,
'Skunk Fu! seamlessly blends martial arts action and broad humor with a
mesmerizing Flash-anime artistic style that fits perfectly into the Kids' WB!
lineup.'

Skunk Fu is about a hero's journey but the series is also about the many amusing things that happen along the way. Cited by Betsy McGowen, Kids' WB! svp and gm as a program with a style and flavor that fits perfectly into the Kids' WB! line-up, Skunk Fu is the sixth new series coming to the programming block for the 2007-2008 slate.
