THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

Over 80% of asylum seekers in Germany unqualified - report

Published time: 29 Oct, 2015 11:57

Over 80 percent of the asylum seekers recently arrived in Germany have no formal qualifications, and only eight percent have a college degree, local media reported citing research by the country's Federal Employment Agency.

Germany (population 80 million) may receive 1.5 million asylum seekers this year alone. It has already accepted more asylum applications than any other European nation, with a number of critics pointing to a high number of uneducated and illiterate people coming to the country.

The Federal Employment Agency has stated that 81 percent of asylum seekers are "without formal qualifications," the Junge Freiheit daily reported, citing a nine-page report entitled "Refugees in Germany: Take responsibility, identify opportunities."

it was very revealing that germany's "open door" closed after just a couple of weeks
someone suddenly woke up to the lunacy of the concept and the inherent dangers that would come in its wake

Is that right H/S? that needs to be taken into consideration when reading/looking then eh.

Where you off to this time then Tanks?

Fred1new - 30 Oct 2015 10:48 - 64244 of 81564

Sounds like Tory Party Central Office under Lynton Crosby.

But haze as a runner should know!

What is the party membership at the moment?

Who are the party doner kebabs at the moment?

See that the one of the party faithful has been gifted a nice little earner by Boy George!

ExecLine - 30 Oct 2015 13:07 - 64245 of 81564

OK. This one is for a bit of debate.

1. What do you think to the way the young lady is dressed? Smart? Sexy? Obviously just asking for it? Un-deservant of respect? Well-deservant of admiration for her physique and looks? We should respect her because she is a woman?

2. What do you think to the guy who keeps on calling her a slut? Far too aggressive? Well out of order? It's nothing to do with him how she dresses? We should respect him because he has a very strong point to make? We should respect him because he is a man?

3. What do you think to the second young lady who slugs the guy hard and knocks him down? She should definitely be arrested for arrest? She is just sticking up for the poor defenseless young woman and who obviously can't look after herself?

4. The guy seems to be aggressively trying to make the point to the young lady, that in dressing like that, she lowers respect for herself and might most surely even be taken to be a prostitute or be sexually abused or attacked.

5. Onlookers sit passively by. Any that speak seem to be on the side of the young lady. Are they being truly fair? Should she be criticised?

6. So much so are they being passive, that when he gets slugged not one of them even goes to his help. And yet he has definitely been physically attacked twice.

They were actors but an interesting, if gratuitous, social experiment.

jimmy b - 30 Oct 2015 13:19 - 64247 of 81564

Was it a set up ? cause a bottle wouldn't knock you out like that .

However if it was real (and good on that small girl for what was a peach of a shot) i'm surprised none of the guys sat there didn't get up and knock him out ,i personally would have kicked the shit out of him

cynic - 30 Oct 2015 13:21 - 64248 of 81564

NEGATIVE INCOME TAX
i see this has been suggested as an alternative to tax credit cuts, but as far as i can see, it DISincentivises people to work, especially in the lower paid sectors- ie why work when there's a guaranteed and relatively generous safety net?

read the following and let me know what you think

A week to remember!

Haystack - 31 Oct 2015 21:53 - 64250 of 81564

BMG asked voting intention in the European refrendum, with headline figures of
Remain 52%, Leave 48%.

ICM also released their regular EU referedum tracker earlier in the week, which had toplines of
Remain 54%, Leave 46%

ExecLine - 01 Nov 2015 13:10 - 64251 of 81564

I'm swayed more by 'Tanker's 'I'm going down the club' voter mates, myself.

I'm for OUT!

Importantly, I don't like un-elected representatives creating and enforcing the rules of membership. Particularly, when some of those rules are so ridiculous and damaging to our country.

I can see why Nigel Farage and his party didn't get many MPs elected in the last General Election because the main thing on the agenda was to keep Labour out. But Farage does talk a ton of sense.

Fred1new - 01 Nov 2015 13:15 - 64252 of 81564

Exec,

the problem with your stance, is that the "political elite" "responsible" for "governing" are not of independent minds, but bought by the media and "donors of various persuasions".
