Is it really a criminal or just a civil matter? Did it simply use information in the public domain (eg addresses of directors from Co House) or did it incite hatred towards the ex directors?

Yes I think it was the references to his family that possibly resulted in the law becoming involved.

Whatever he has done, he should be brought to account for in the proper way, using the law, but his family are not part of it.
