THE TALK TO YOURSELF THREAD. (NOWT)

goldfinger - 09 Jun 2005 12:25

Thought Id start this one going because its rather dead on this board at the moment and I suppose all my usual muckers are either at the Stella tennis event watching Dim Tim (lose again) or at Henly Regatta eating cucumber sandwiches (they wish,...NOT).

Anyway please feel free to just talk to yourself blast away and let it go on any company or subject you wish. Just wish Id thought of this one before.

cheers GF.

British special forces will get an extra £2BILLION funding in wake of Paris atrocity Cameron reveals, as he calls for return to 'Blitz spirit' to defeat jihadists
Money will fund new weapons and vehicles, including helicopters, protective equipment and night-fighting kit
Prime Minister said the rising military budget would mean more money for unmanned drones and cyber-defences
He said the new National Security Strategy will give Britain the resources to boost its influence in the world
Speech came immediately after he flew home from a G20 summit in the wake of the slaughter of 129 people in Paris

David Cameron has told how Britain must show the same resolve it displayed against Hitler during the Blitz in order to defeat the threat of terrorism.
The message came as he announced plans to spend an additional £2 billion on the SAS and other special units over the coming five years to improve their fighting capabilities.
It is understood that the money will fund new weapons and vehicles, possibly including helicopters, protective equipment, night-fighting kit and communications, and will not be used on a recruitment drive.
In a high-profile speech to the Lord Mayor of London's Banquet, the Prime Minister said the additional cash will be delivered from the growth in defence budgets guaranteed by the Government's commitment to spend two per cent of GDP on the military.
