Any punters living in Birmingham Area interested in a Pie, Pint and jaw, one evening in a pub in Birmingham area.
Personally interested in small time investing(gambling), developing an appetite for CFDs. Also developing an interest in Charting or TA.

Chris,

valet parking? does that mean that if I arrive by bike they will give the chain a wipe down and check the tyre pressures?

survived87 - 16 Nov 2007 22:17 - 649 of 1427

perhaps they haven't experienced that event yet (people arriving on bicycles) .... but being 5-star then they should be able to handle it without blinking.... car parking facility is robot lifts/slots - it's only failed a couple of times....

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:21 - 650 of 1427

...in that case I will arrive in the 3 wheeler -):

survived87 - 16 Nov 2007 22:24 - 652 of 1427

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:25 - 653 of 1427

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:26 - 654 of 1427

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:30 - 656 of 1427

Well I think there are a couple of Tuk Tuk's finally operating in Brum now:.

"In Asia, drivers rely on religious artefacts to protect them from crashes. Mr Ponniah, however, has had to satisfy the requirements of the Vehicle and Operator Services Agency, which has tested each tuk-tuk."

55 - if you do bring a horse then don't forget to bring Lady Godiva as well ..... I guess the Senior Revenue Officer on the train would let her travel for free...(unless it's Great Western)?

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:40 - 659 of 1427

Hey I like them, can see them catching on as well.

survived87 - 16 Nov 2007 22:44 - 660 of 1427

But Bob Oddy, of the Licensed Taxi Drivers Association, said: They can tip over and people can get thrown out".

True .... especially if taking sharp corners at high speed on a wet road ...(personal experience .... although not in Brum).

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:45 - 661 of 1427

Oh well perhaps not then -):

So that leaves arrival method #5:

http://www.jet-man.com/prod/index.html

(Although it'll be another couple of months before Fred can use this method).....

And on that then Goodnight.....

Stan - 16 Nov 2007 22:55 - 663 of 1427

Blimey! looks like a high tech batman...never mind the stairs just fly in through the window.

Evening all.

55011 - 16 Nov 2007 23:06 - 664 of 1427

The nag would come in handy if the mechanical horses go phut..............

Given yesterdays posts then it was definitely a Friday evening...!!!

Continuing the transport theme.... just back from the closing 'ceremony' for Digbeth Coach Station....

Stan - 17 Nov 2007 15:36 - 666 of 1427

Are yes saw a news item on that couple of weeks back, looking towards seeing the new one (in a couple of years I think) open. Did you get a chance to pop in to our former venue The Anchor to see if there were any changes?

survived87 - 17 Nov 2007 15:54 - 667 of 1427

Only got to the Coach Station itself. Sat inside a couple of the old Midland Red single deckers including one that used to run to Shrewsbury. Also got aboard the very latest large delux coach which is due for the Heathrow route. Young one was in tow so didn't get to any drinking establishments. I've never been in the Anchor before. All the area on south side of Coach Station being demolished - think thats the area that is going to have the 'Digbeth Place' developement of apartments, bars, restaurants and a hotel. Yes, the new coach station should be ready in two years time (on site of the existing one).
