NML is due its interrim results now, last year it was the 28th of this month.
They are setting up a new site to explore/research/analyse and all the equipment to do this should be on site now, and drilling should start soon, all this extra news should be covered in the interims.
does anyone have any further positive views on this company ??

Yes, only a few weeks now till defined RNS'd minestart, it is warming up now, and the trading and interest is gaining well.
Agreed to, on start it will be cash generative almost instantly due to the depths of the diamonds, 1mtr to a max depth of 15mtr.

I have just had a lengthy chat with Shane Healey who is the finance Director at NML. Firstly let me say I have checked with Shane and nothing I am about to report is considered to be outside the public domain.
The Boat arrived in Luanda at midnight on Thursday; it is being off loaded today or tomorrow onto 11 flatbed trucks. It has already cleared customs. It will travel in convey with another mining companies equipment (15 trucks). It will take four days to go the 1,000 Kms to Serena (please excuse the spelling if its wrong). The convoys will then split up, the other company going off to their site. It will then take a further 10 days to go the final 34Kms of road; 24Kms is a passable track and the final 10kms needs a bit of "gardening"
The kit will be there in two weeks time. It will take the Badenhorst brothers (again excuse the spelling) a week to put there OWN kit together again and the brothers reckon they will be pulling diamonds out of the ground from day one! Incidentally the brothers have been to the site twice and can't wait to start. They reckon after spending 15 years working really hard in the Kimberleys in South Africa that this will be a doddle!
Publicity: In September, after the mining has commenced there are going to be road shows in London, Australia and Malaysia. They have already engaged the services of a PR company here in London. NML do intend to make a splash one they are firing real ammunition i.e. producing diamonds!
Shane was a little upset about the RNS which came out the other day. To put it bluntly what he wrote was changed by the Nominated Advisor to the company.
I asked Shane about the rns including the part about mining beginning by the end of 2004. I said does he consider what we are about to do (in three weeks time) as trial mining and that proper mining starts at the end of 2004 after the samples have been taken. His reply was "look we are going straight to the spots where we think the diamonds are and are going to dig them up. We don't call that trial mining! The diamonds are only a metre from the surface and we want to get at them straight away!
Just to reiterate I have asked if any of this was considered insider info and was told no. I can give no more detail other than I have given here and that that I have given is to the best of my recollection. I'm sorry if the English aint great but I am not a journalist!

Impressive research... I will be honest, I am not a mining expert and this is the only one I have bought (not many - only 20k), but looks very promising. It is always good when FD's are co-operative and try to help you as investors. I hope yours and Leewinks research pays off, I see you have been writing on here for a while.

Hello everyone,
Can we believe what we are being told about whats happening at the mine site and that they will be pulling big diamonds out in large quantyties from the moment they start? If so why hasnt the price rocketed?

Morning ST,
The information isn't widely known and has been researched by a small number of people who have followed the company for some months. The news released by the company has been deliverately and rightly understated.
I do believe what we are told as I have corresponded with NML myself. For me the key is the credentials of the management team and those on the ground both of which I believe to be excellent.
There is no doubt there is some risk (it is Angola after all) but everyone should have a few of these. When news is released (and it will be soon) this stock could move even faster than AFD earlier this year that 2.5 bagged in a month.
The point worth noting here is that this isn't the mining of kimberlite pipes (not yet anyway) but alluvial mining - so recovery will start almost as soon as the earth is shifted.
DYOR etc..

nkirk> slow down! i know the equipment will be at the site during this week and it takes about 5 days to set it up, shane said they will start mining as soon as the equipment is set up so i am estimating next week to minestart, the only thing im not sure of is how long it will take to unload the trucks so allowing for "slippage" i would give 1st oct as my preffered date. oh yes and i do hold over 1/2m of these so i am as eager as the next person! its not the minestart rns that will give the biggest lift it will be the "we have been to auction today and sold our first parcel of stones" rns and im assured that the quality of the 1m alluvials is a sight to behold. lets hope so. good luck all.

I understood that the equipment was due on site by end of July and mining to start by end of August. This is what the NML website says. Is that wrong? Because, if not, nkirk is right and we should really have had some news by now.
Information from anyone with better sources than mine will be welcomed.

guru, this is very old news, since then nmr have a new managment team in place and have taken a complete new direction. the equipment of which you speak was rented and then i assume cancelled they did a share placing in feb which raised enough cash to buy the equipment and hire the specialists to run it. i will copy some of the info from the a.d.v.f.n site if i can and can also say i have spoken on the phone to nmr on numerous occasions and all is going according to plan.

For your information, good note towards the end for Africa operations
New Millennium Resources NL
17 September 2004
New Millennium Resources NL
Largest Greenland Diamond Find
New Millennium Resources NL (NML) in association with its partner Hudson
Resources Inc of Canada, is pleased to announce that a total of 120 diamonds
greater than 106 microns in size were recovered from one sample location in New
Millennium's Sarfartoq Exploration License Area in West Greenland (see sieve
results reported below). Of these diamonds, 9 are classified as macrodiamonds
(defined as remaining on the +0.5 mm square mesh sieve). The three largest
diamonds measured 1.90 X 1.70 x 1.42 mm; 1.98 X 1.34 X 0.98 mm; and 1.56 X 1.40
X 1.16 mm. This 107.9 kg kimberlite sample also contained another 31
microdiamonds in the 75 micron size fraction. The complete Caustic Fusion
Diamond Report prepared by the SRC Geoanalytical Laboratories, including
individual stone size and description, is available on Hudson's website
(
www.hudsonresources.ca/files/srcreport.pdf
).
The sample location has been named 'Garnet Lake' because of the existence of
visible garnets in the kimberlite matrix. The total Garnet Lake sample comprises
a nodular rich selection of kimberlite (MHG9-5), a portion of matrix-dominant
kimberlite (MHG9-7) and a representative kimberlite selection (MHG9-13)
processed separately. Additionally, samples totaling 144.65 kg collected from 3
other localities were marginally diamondiferous yielding a total of 4
micro-diamonds. The remaining 184.05 kg of kimberlite processed from 3 other
localities failed to reveal diamonds.

The Garnet Lake sample site is a narrow drainage leading north into a 200m x
175m lake. Kimberlite was found across a width of approximately 15m at the mouth
of the lake and samples could be traced back at least 40m to the south. The
kimberlite is closely constrained to the drainage basin. No other kimberlite was
found in the immediate area outside the basin or upon surveying around the lake.
It is believed therefore that the kimberlite has been frost heaved to the
surface from a nearby in-situ source below.
New Millennium Resources NL, of Perth, Australia, has a joint venture with
Hudson Resources and has a 20% interest in the diamond project in the Sarfartoq
License area.
'We are extremely pleased with the results from the Garnet Lake area' stated
James Tuer, president of Hudson. 'The really exciting aspect about the find at
Garnet Lake is that it validates our belief that there should be further
occurrences like this in the region based on the extent of the kimberlite
indicator mineral chemistry found in the tills. We are currently undertaking
work to determine the chemistry and geophysical response of this source in order
to extrapolate it across the licence area.'
Hudson Resources intends to initiate a drill program in February or March of
2005 to confirm the existence of buried in-situ kimberlite and to determine its
extent.
The samples were processed by the Geoanalytical Laboratories at the Saskatchewan
Research Council ('SRC'), Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, an independent laboratory.
SRC GeoAnalytical Laboratories is accredited to the ISO/IEC 17025 standard by
the Standards Council of Canada as a testing laboratory for specific tests. Dr.
Mark Hutchison, Trigon GeoServices Ltd., was in charge of the collection of the
samples in Greenland and managed the chain of custody from the field to the SRC.
He is co-ordinating the description and scientific interpretation of the finds
in order to facilitate ongoing exploration and drilling. Dr. John Ferguson
oversaw the program and is a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
John Cross, CEO/Managing Director of New Millennium stated, 'Hudson's find on
our ground in Greenland is an exciting development for New Millennium. It fits
in very well with the Company's diamond strategy in Africa. While Hudson
continues its exploration program in Greenland, New Millennium is able to focus
its resources on developing its African concession.'
New Millennium's diamond concession in Angola is close to commencing production.
New Millennium's purchase of US$2 million in plant and equipment has already
arrived in Angola and will be commissioned on site within the month.

Intercept,
If you keep going back and looking at old company RNS', you run the risk of missing the latest news, and why the price is moving upwards!
We've all moved on from that RNS, everyone knows what happened, so no point looking backwards IMHO.
the latest FACTS, as presented to the LSE, are as follows;
NML have purchased mining equipment from the Badenhorst Brothers, experienced diamond miners, from Kimberley, S.Arica.
This mining equipment has been shipped from Cape Town to Angola, and cleared customs.
This equipment has crossed Angola in a convoy, and is either traversing the last few miles of off road track, or has already arrived at the minesite.
The Badenhorst brothers will construct their former equipment, and manage the onsite operations. They are confident they will be mining diamonds from the off, and "can't wait to start" according to one quote from them!
They have recruited all the required personnel for the operation to commence.
I am awaiting the next RNS, which, hopefully, will confirm that mining has commenced.
Either way, we will know shortly, and I increased my investment on Friday as I am hopeful that the price will rise from here provided of course the mining startup is sucessful, the diamonds are of the anticipated quality, and the grades are good.
We won't have long to wait IMHO!
Enjoy.

You are right, NML is a start up story yet to reach the masses, only a few in this one at the moment.
I would suggest you have a look at the company website for some research;
