I don't now about that AdieH...but I am certainly making Investing pay..it's trading I cannot get to grips with.

Do you think I could do a licensing deal on that idea?

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 12:07 - 653 of 27111

Interesting posts. The announcement was of two licensing deals so it will be the responsibility of those companies to do the marketing. however, they possibly will focus on UK so it would be good to have US pull-through. This is clearly an Aquasol product so has no negative impact whatsoever on the R/F products.

AdieH: Bought into BPG this morning and sitting on a nice little profit already. I suspect there is a lot more action as cap. still only 27m. The Bandai commitment is for 100,000; at 50 a throw to BPG (a guess, but it is a DVD player) thats 5m so cap. could move to 50m before it needs to pause.

Di: same predicament as me! Investing OK - a good stock-picker. But there is a right time to sell and I have been a bit slow to divest myself of an overweight position in ASC; I should be buying back in now not selling to provide funds for NLR and BTG.

As for SEO, the skies the limit. I am becoming convinced that we are talking about a climb towards the FT350. Not tomorrow or next week, but certainly next year. Back to the issue: when do take profits and when do you buy back in. Help, someone!

i think we all have the same predicament. we all know that when the cc claim is announced the price will drop . will it drop enough to cover the spread? will it be worth selling and buying back? also, and this is the biggy, will seo very cleverly announce a new deal to counter the negative news and the price rises instead of dropping? lets not underestimate the power of asda. when international brand licensing got the nod to sell in asda it doubled in a day.tricky decisions and after further thought my own view is to stay put.to sell and buy back in ...well it just feels too risky for me. took some thought but i didnt feel convinced i could get it right so i am leaving well alone.
also , fantasic ideas being put forward, re: amazon . i wonder is anyone from seo reads this thread? maybe they will offer us consultancy positions? :)

"In addition, Stanelco's traylidding trials with food manufacturers and packaging
companies continue to progress well. In some instances trials have completed
and are awaiting results of shelf-life stability tests which are a pre-requisite
for products being placed in store. We will provide further updates in due
course."

very exciting last paragraph. makes me think it wont be too long before a deal is announced.

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 12:33 - 655 of 27111

Eric,

In the past I have for example bought PDX at 46p sold at 89p (twas' the end of a bull run after news) bought back at 86p and more at 1.10 sold at 1.60 again after a big run up. Bought back 1.20 sold at 2.00 ...currently waiting for a reversal to about 1.80 when I will buy back. If I think there is news in the offering and that I may lose out I sell some and take profit and keep some.

If you look at Frog pack website...the two comapnies SEO have done a deal with are www.lightingpackaging.co.uk and Network Packaging Ltd.

I agree Eric this is likely to be a huge comapny in the future if they are not bought out first though. I know so many companies in the packaging industry who have been taken over by huge conglomerates; I've first hand experience of this.

hampi_man - 31 Jan 2005 13:04 - 656 of 27111

Dynamite, if you don't mind my asking, what shares (besides SEO, as I bought in today) would you recommend for medium term punts?.......

driver - 31 Jan 2005 13:14 - 657 of 27111

Has Dynamite become the guru of the all share index I think you should do your own research (hampi_man) to a point or it can be very dangerous besides putting someone on the spot.

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 13:44 - 658 of 27111

Well put Driver....I may be a good stock picker as Eric put it, but i don't actually want to start recommendations...sods law says they will all fail if I do ;-)I give the odd ramp of a share now and a gain however.

Bosley...I was thinking about Frogpack...and I am going to contact Royal Mail cos' they are probably the biggest seller of bubble envelopes, plus I thought the large stationers like Office World etc. They should put me on commission but then I used to be UK Business Development Manager for a huge Packaging co so this is right down my street!!

bosley - 31 Jan 2005 18:26 - 659 of 27111

you go ahead di,maybe even dhl too. endless possibilities.exciting times.i think the asda announcement could really send seo into orbit (no shit sherlock!!!) not because its asda but what it could lead onto. asda could just be the first domino........(wow....stares wide eyed into screen, dreaming). not much else to say. up again . getting a bit boring now , blue blue blue........:)

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 18:52 - 660 of 27111

di, bosley

Excellent posts! I can see Di getting commission but if she succeed in getting the sp up to an appropriate level, that will do for starters. I also agree with the comments regarding DYOR. The Second ASOS Challenge is a good example. The front runners at the weekend were NLR and BGT. I did my own research at the weekend and bought into both first thing - sitting on a decent profit already with more to come. I actually do fully accept the feminine intuition bit: there are actually three ladies who I would put in the top quartile of stockpickers on these threads, namely di, moneyplus and sandrew. I am comfortable at the thought of learning from them! Mind, I put forward MLS which is a close up third in the Challenge!

bos: you only need to look at the charts to see that SEO is a BUY, NOW! The announcement of the Aquasol product is completed unrelated to the R/F technology. Its a guess but it could, and should, be worth several pence on the sp on its own. This share is ridiculously underpriced and I can't see that remaining for long. I can't see the cc affecting such an uptrend although it could halt it in its tracks for a while, depending on the amount. But, the obvious action is to time an announcement of the ASDA deal, say, to defuse the situation.

Eric,

One of my principles is to only buy penny shares unless I have followed them to pounds like PDX of course. Getting excited about another share now too. NML check out the thread or their brilliant website. http://www.new-millennium.com.au/

I have been busy contacting companies over Frogpack...you never know if may have some results. I'll post any responses of interest I get.

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 19:22 - 662 of 27111

Di

Well done! But I don't need another share to look at! Well, just a peek! No, its diamonds! And its Australian! And its Greenland plus Angola! And its traded horizontally for best part of a year! So, what's the attraction? Oh, diamonds are a woman's best friend, they say! But this is a speculative mining share, surely! Well, I still need one good reason to buy!

Eric

Dynamite - 31 Jan 2005 19:25 - 663 of 27111

Eric,

How about ' they found continuous diamonds' in their samples including two diamonds of 11 and 20 carats. About to start mining in February for minerals in Greenland and March in Angola for Diamonds. They are estimating a surplus profit of us$1.2m per month to start with!!! That do????

EWRobson - 31 Jan 2005 19:52 - 664 of 27111

Di

Oh well, then, if you insist! Just looked at Greenland so what about Angola? hmmmmmmmmmm! Nice big diamonds! Moving equipment for production! Breakeven this year then US$18.2M next year! Can't be true, given the cap is only 7M!
Can it? Perhaps it can? Blast! I can feel the vibes coming on! Oh well, time for supper! lol:)!

morning all. just checked in to see if there was news. no early news but doesnt the graph look wonderful:)

Dynamite - 01 Feb 2005 09:20 - 666 of 27111

A bit from the other side that does not seem to be on this BB:

The SEO faithfull may be interested to know that the wait for the results of completed trials, and the signing of those contracts or MOU's, is not more that a fortnight away ....

Today's RNS 31/1/05 ....

Stanelco's traylidding trials with food manufacturers and packaging companies continue to progress well. In some instances trials have completed and are awaiting results of shelf-life stability tests which are a pre-requisite for products being placed in store. We will provide further updates in due course.

EVO Brokers Note on SEO ....
Referring to MAP packaging, where shelf life of meat is extended ....

This is crucial because most supermarket meats are packaged in an
environment of 25% carbon dioxide and 75% nitrogen. Keeping out normal air
typically allows a 14 day shelf life.

bosley - 01 Feb 2005 18:51 - 667 of 27111

so, if seos packaging pass this final test , then its got to be all systems go. tim freeborn tipped seo last year when he was writing for shares mag. he wrote some wonderful things. then he disappeared. then evolution get very bullish about seo . then i see tims name mentioned as an analyst at evolution. is tim the analyst at evo who is writing these bullish broker notes? not implying anything negative , just wondered where he had gone because i used to like his enthusiasm for all things techy.

Your last posting was 666 first 007 then The Guru now Damion this must be an Omen.

EWRobson - 01 Feb 2005 21:36 - 669 of 27111

Just one warning note: 666 is the number of the Devil! Now Bos is not the devil because he is a hero, much more like 007. Chart remains an absolute clear-cut buy. Dear old Tim Freeborn - caught a cold with Earthport and lost a lot of money as many of us did; why didn't we go for NETeller instead? still better late than never. Like the shelf life point; also it seems everything else achieved so they just have to wait a while with the packaged goods on the shelf and we all know they will be hunky-dory. See that Prelims are scheduled for 23rd Feb or three weeks time; sounds good timing for the completion of the ASDA studies. Carry on accumulating, folk, in the meantime; mind, I'm somewhat overweight now, figuratively not literally!
