Referendum : to be in Europe or not to be ?, that is the question ! (REF)

required field - 03 Feb 2016 10:00

Thought I'd start a new thread as this is going to be a major talking point this year...have not made up my mind yet...(unlike bucksfizz)....but thinking of voting for an exit as Europe is not doing Britain any good at all it seems....

h/t to dope across the road.

Nicola Sturgeon is touring Perthshire in the First Minister¿s chauffeur driven car. Suddenly a cow jumps out into the road. They hit it full on and the car comes to a stop. Nicola in her usual jaunty manner, says to the chauffeur : " You get out and check - you were driving." The chauffeur gets out, checks and reports that the animal is dead. " You were driving, go and tell the farmer," says Nicola, ¿I can¿t afford to be blamed for anything.¿ The chauffeur walks up the drive to the farmhouse and returns five hours later totally plastered, his hair ruffled and with a big grin on his face. " My God, what happened to you ?" asks Nicola. The chauffeur replies : " When I got there, the farmer opened his best bottle of malt whisky, the wife gave me a slap up meal and the daughter made love to me." " What on earth did you say?" asks Nicola. ¿ I knocked on the door and when it was answered, I said to them, I'm Nicola Sturgeon¿s chauffeur and I've just killed the cow."

Sturgeon is dangerous she's obviously got an unhealthy obsession with independence , I haven't heard any sort of economical reason to be out of the UK . Why can't these people see what the EU is all about , she seems to be going down the if we are in the EU they will look after everything we need a la Greece etc .

mentor - 13 Mar 2017 16:44 - 6511 of 12628

re - cow

there is more than one it seems.........

I could not believe it

A scottish "cow" asking at the commons...

If they have a timetable to start the proceeding about deportation of the EC citizens?

One has to be thick like " Freda" but she ( the cow - scottish MP) looks like is double thick to ask such a question, or is not following Davies talk.

grannyboy - 13 Mar 2017 16:46 - 6512 of 12628

Yes the Scottish idea of 'independence' is being ruled from Brussels...

It dosn't seem to have dawned on the fishstick that trade between the
Scots and the rest of the UK being four times that of the Scots with the EU.

cynic - 13 Mar 2017 16:53 - 6513 of 12628

sturgeon has to bang the independence drum for else the snp is surely meaningless

i don't think anyone in his right senses can see any sense at all in scotland trying to run alone .... after all, and leaving aside whether or not scotland would even be accepted into eu, scotland just does not have the economic structure and strength to be inedependent ....... it would remain totally reliant on being subsidised in all sorts of ways by westminster; what would or even could scotland offer england in return?

VICTIM - 13 Mar 2017 17:11 - 6514 of 12628

Surely cynic anyone in their right mind would do endless research into the possibility of going out of the UK , to just bang on in the hope it will work is crazy . I hope they see through her failings .

A bit like making mountains out of molehills.

Until you break your neck by falling over one.

Reminds me of the T May and her band of Brexiters.

Chris Carson - 13 Mar 2017 22:48 - 6517 of 12628

Freda, be careful what you wish for. If Fifi goes ahead with yet another Ref and loses again. That's goodnight Vienna SNP, do you seriously even imagine even in your wildest phychotic dreams that Labour will take over the mantle, good luck with that one LOL!!!

But as usual you have to put it out there, one problem you have been sussed no one cares anymore :0)

grannyboy - 14 Mar 2017 08:25 - 6520 of 12628

T. May will now be beavering away on the 'Dear John' letter to give those
resident in Brussels 'fair' warning of our impending departure..YIPPEEE!!

And with the Dutch elections tomorrow, a Gert Wilders party win would be
the cherry on the cream cake of the week..

The only blot being that irritant fishstick Sturgeon, who will be finished after
the next rejection of her desire to be ruled from Brussels.

2517GEORGE - 14 Mar 2017 12:22 - 6521 of 12628

Best way to secure Scottish Independence is to give the English a vote. Besides the Euroblock (heads) have enough lame ducks without taking on another one.

Dil - 15 Mar 2017 07:59 - 6522 of 12628

I agree George , Wales would probably vote them out too as they get a better funding deal from Westminster than we do.

Maybe we should have a referendum on whether or not to let her have another referendum in Scotland.

2517GEORGE - 15 Mar 2017 10:03 - 6523 of 12628

Sorry Dil I should have included Wales and N. Ireland of course.

required field - 15 Mar 2017 10:49 - 6524 of 12628

Teresa May has no alternative but to decline any possibility of another referendum about Scottish independence because of the enormous implications with brexit being implemented : the scots made the decision a few years ago to remain in the UK !....you cannot have referendums at the drop of a hat...chaos would ensue as we are now in the process of leaving the EU and we can't have regional differences overriding the economic safety of the whole country...Nicola Sturgeon should read the terms and conditions pamphlet again about these referendums...it seens the SNP are not prepared to accept the fact that they lost the referendum to becoming independent.....in any case a new Scottish referendum cannot even be considered until 2022 or 2023 at the very earliest...amen....

VICTIM - 15 Mar 2017 11:36 - 6525 of 12628

She's playing dirty , justifying her position , and steering away from her proper problems in Scotland . She apparently tweeted last night that she was elected to her position and May wasn't , which i think is balls because you elect a party not a leader .

grannyboy - 15 Mar 2017 12:02 - 6526 of 12628

Its all coming home to roost...The tory MP for South Thanet is under police caution
the establishment did every thing they could to stop Nigel Farage getting elected,
Now lets see justice done and these corrupt feckers sent to prison..

Where is Haystack to report on these developments?..

VICTIM - 15 Mar 2017 12:08 - 6527 of 12628

Maybe part of it , joking of course but he's gone quiet for a while .
